Sprint Event 22:06 [3] 2.2 km (10:03 / km)

Bigfoot Sprints - Run1 (at Sydney Uni)

Wasn't expecting it to be som much fun but thoroughly enjoyed the day. Zombies versus Humans added some hilarity and I was actually shot in the leg by a nerf bullet as I ran through one skirmish between the two groups.

Main aim was to try and run better km rates than Mapgirl (which I managed) and was fairly happy with my first run. The computer agreed and I ahd a lost time lisiting of 0:00 which may have been only slightly generous as I was prwetty well on th ball for most of it.

Left knee did some protesting if I tried to ascent two steps at once and I was wimmpy going down many of the stairs. Need a lot more fitness to be anywhere competitive but was happy with being 43rd out of 69 males.

NSW State League 21:46 [3] 2.0 km (10:53 / km)

Bigfoot Sprints - Run2 (at Sydney Uni)

totally fell apart physically on this one and hence only managed 57th out of 69 males. Didn't really navigate any worse as once again the computer said I was consistat enough for it to believe my lost time was 0:00. This was probaly the only saving grace in a run where I did have to do a lot more walking then the previous run. I also started last due to having to watch over LeepBax as Mapgirl started in the chasing starts. Perhaps running with a group or knowing people were chasing me might have inspired a few seconds per km faster run rate. Who knows.

We had a picnic at the adjacent cricket ground and then went off to Muzz and Wendy's at Rozelle for a pleasant evening of nibbles and desserts and fine company....a perfect preparation for tomorrows NSW Sprint Champs.
