Cycling race (MTBO) 1:24:43 [4]*** 11.2 km (7:34 / km)
spiked:17/18c
MTBO "middle" at Mabie. Only slightly shorter than the long! Much better ride today, attacked more and took good routes. Just one overshoot on 5 where I just had my head down riding too much and didn't get the distance right, and didn't spot either the small path heading off, or the fact the control was on this path not on the main path. Great weekend of courses though.
Note
Collected some controls (by bike), but no idea how far or how long. I guess about 30 mins.

Cycling race (MTBO) 1:36:06 [4]*** 13.1 km (7:20 / km)
spiked:16/20c
MTBO champs, Dalbeattie. Fairly mediocre ride overall, although pretty good up to 11. Rubbish route to 12 - misread the contours entierly, and not best route to 16 or 19. Puncture on the way to 19 so had to ride flat tyre to 20 and then run the "run-in" when the tyre rolled off the rim on the singletrack. Not sure how far I rode but most people seemed to have ridden about 25km.

Cycling (Road) 35:38 [3]17.7 km (2:01 / km)
Usual short road route of late, but didn't go too hard as don't want to strain anything before the next few weekends. Just a ride to stay sharp. Really wet out, pretty scary on skinny tyres.

Running (Road) 33:25 [2]5.6 km (5:58 / km)
shoes: Kiprun 2000
Loosener around Forest Hill with Sarah. Actually wasn't very tight as it turns out. Knee middling, hope it is ok for Saunders. Hey John - if a bad ankle is a wankle whats a bad knee? A knobee?
