PAPO OY, Van Asch. Slumming it on red short, officially to reduce the risk of setting myself back before next weekend (but with a fair helping of I don't much like this map). A good course though for making use of what's available, I might be slightly more encouraged next time we're back here. Good flow and only a couple of mistakes, about half a minute each. Didn't notice the veg boundary that would have told me I had come too high into 6, and couldn't stay on the contour 10 to 11 - I was aware of this so the only reason it was notable time loss was a bit of an awkward down-climb to get to the control as it wasn't really in a gap between cliffs like I'd pictured. Didn't get caught by the route-choice trap to 13, every instinct said go around but realised in time that had just as much climb as going all but straight. Split placing for this leg suggests a few people didn't see that.

Core 12:00 [3]

Otherwise just looking after the foot, a bit annoying to feel the need to do that again on such a good day

Run 43:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trabuco 2024

Have to miss Thursday pack this week so instigated Wednesday no-mates. In the red zone direction for the first time in a while. A bit sluggish but better than I expected. Stole a few minutes by not restarting the watch after a road crossing, and not sure which one...

Gym-bunny session 40:00 [4]
shoes: Asics Trabuco 2024

Walked in from home, so figured I could skip the rowing machine warm-up. Undecided if it made a difference. I could still feel Sunday's session (and not just all the skin I'd left behind) but it didn't seem to be limiting me.
