Walking 30:00 [2]

The usual w/ Carl. Very humid, like 100%, but not so hot. Drizzly.

Trail running 32:15 [3]

Catamount black course. Temp up to 75 degrees, but very, very humid. Cloudy though, so bearable. Soon the thunder started and after hearing it above me as I ran across the field on the highest point of land, I decided to not be stupid and return to the car via the woods edges. Showers started before I got back to the car. Felt good.

Too damn hot and humid to do anything outdoors.

Swimming 10:00 [2]

Quick swim this morning after spending the night at our Book Group hostess's new camp. Sweet spot. Today is Going to be a scorcher, so it was great to start out in the cool lake water. Temp got to 96 at home. Did a little painting outside, dripped sweat all over the tables onto the paint/stain even in the shade. Spent the rest of the day inside working on the computer.

Swimming 10:00 [2]

Great swimming at Starr Farm Beach--book group night. New favorite beach. Lots of sand, shallow, NO WEEDS! Loved it. Felt like a kid again. Did a few strokes of butterfly in honor of Michael Phelps--that did me in. My freestyle and backstroke are still there though.

Walking 30:00 [2]

The usual w Carl. (Or was it on Tuesday?)

Trail running race 42:05 [4]

Catamount Trail Running Series-Black Course. Hot. 80s. Slight breeze. Humidity fairly low, so tolerable when not in the sun. Felt much better than last week, but still had to walk the uphills.

Trail running 40:00 [3]

Enjoyable run today. Followed my whims at Catamount. Worked my way up to Indian Lookout. Had to walk some of the hills. A little drizzle at the start, but temps around 68 degrees were a welcome change. Ran down the powerline looking to see how many elderberry bushes survived the clearing by the power company. (They are mostly gone, but some new growth. One patch left, so maybe I can collect some berries when they're ripe. Love elderberry jelly and syrup.)
