Catamount Trail Race Series. UVM course (yellow on green). Mid-80s, moderate humidity, very tired legs. Almost didn't go, but decided to just take it easy. Still pushed harder than I would have in a training run, but walked whenever I got tired/winded, usually only 30 m or so, then resumed. Wasn't too bad. So ready for a rest day.
Orienteering race (Middle) 28:39 [4] 2.2 km (13:01 / km)
Pierrefonds, Montreal, QUE Eastern Canadian O Champs. Had a pretty good run. Suboptimal route choice on #5--took the trail around. A little hesitat on #6 early on. Not so speedy anymore, but I am happy with my results. Warm but not too humid. Nice breeze near the finish.
Note: Fields were overgrown with Poison Parsnip. I saw many people who seemed to not know how dangerous it is. ONA needs to put out a story on it to make orienteers aware. I fear that some may end up with bad burns over the next week or so.
Unofficial time. Decent race. No big goofs but some bobbles and 2 suboptimal route choices. Tricky to tell trails vs open/clearings/bare rock-- lots of what seemed like trails, not on the map. Quite flat but therefore challenging. Gorgeous day. Low humidity, sunny, breezy. Fun day. Lots of mud!
Catamount training run. Black course. Humid. Rained on me from the lower hayfield on. Skipped the steep uphill finish. Started and stopped watch at corner of house, as usual. Rain felt good.
