Walking 1:45:00 [3]
Walk w RH at Shelburne Farms. Parked at Visitor's Center, walked by farm barn to lone tree hill, down through whimsey meadow continuing on to coach barn by the lake. Some interesting ice formations on the shore, mostly icicles on stone retaining wall and plates of ice, like landscaping stones, blown into the bay. Wind was strong so we tried to keep in the woods and keep it at our backs in the open areas. Nice floatilla of ducks on the lake--canvasbacks? scaups? (white with dark heads, too far out to make them out). Returned via the regular walking path by the cow barns, stayed north of the farm barn and took the cottonwood allee back to the parking lot. Cloudy but enjoyable for the conversation and sights to see.
Headed to Shelburne Museum afterward to see the exhibit of Patty Yoder's rugs. So colorful.
