Walking 25:00 [2]

The usual w Carl. Temps mid 40s. Path mostly clear and dry. Nice walk.

Snow Shoveling 45:00 [3]

8 more inches of heavy snow. Decided that since this is such a workout, both muscular (strength) and aerobic, I should probably start counting it.
Lots of snow this winter--one of the snowiest Januarys on record. Hence, lots of shoveling already since November!

Tai Chi cancelled.

Walking 35:00 [2]

The usual w Carl, plus walked to Tai Chi and back (met Carl as he was walking down the hill on our street to meet me). Beautiful day. 40s

Tai Chi 1:00:00 [1]

Love this class. Going to start including it just for the record. Not much aerobic nor strength, but great for balance, agility, and general mind/body welfare. Instructor Adine Panitch is lovely. 70ish I would imaging. Love her wit and humor, her lightness of being and commitment to the value and study of the Lamm method of Tai Chi.

Started last September with the Paul Lamm 1-2-3 sequence. Since early January, we are working on the Sun 73 series.

I try and practice it most mornings as an add-on to my morning stretching routine which I don't record.

Running 23:00 [3]

Gov. Chittenden Rd. Great running on the road, except for the closed part which was very snowy and icy. With my IceBugs I was able to get reasonable footing, but had to walk a lot both going and returning. Probably 60:40 running"walking". Beautiful day. 24 degrees, sunny, light winds. Slight strain in my left thigh from yesterday--could feel it while I was running. Not bad so I kept going.

Walking 22:00 [2]

Same workout, walking parts. Though the uphill walking was as aerobic as the more level running.
