Beast from the east snow day - up to the Gathering Stone. Wind chill was supposed to be -11deg and it sure did feel like that. Deeper snow than anticipated too, so all in all, a lot more physical than intended. Great to be out though, and even better to be back.

Last minute opportunity to do a taxi run from the High School. Had the idea to run up Auchinlay Rd to Ashfield and back via Laigh Hills. Hadn't thought it through properly at all though, in that it's a long way, I haven't run for more than 30 mins in I don't know how long and I had someone else's child to pick up not just mine, so couldn't be late. I couldn't possibly have changed plan or turned around(!!), so had to run quite hard. The views were awesome though, sunset was amazing and my h/s and hip survived. Utterly pooped!

Aquathlon 200m swim. Did myself a disservice on estimated time and got held up. Really must do some time trials to see how fast I can actually swim, now i have a year of Tri club under my belt.

Aquathlon 3km. Guessed time. Fine balance of gubbing myself to stay ahead of the hubster and not making my injuries worse. Think I managed it and wasn't caught until the disco. Chuffed! Dead!

Swim squad...a speed session. Ho, ho. Just what you need after your first running race in 2 years! Got out after 30 mins to cheer the kids on in their aquathlon, so got a 10 min rest in the middle!

Better than steady effort, quite hard work into the wind. Threat of potential aquathlon show-down looming so wanted to see how bad running would be. I predict an easy win for the hubster given the swim is so short!
