Trail/Road running 34:00 [3]

Polmaise loop by dusk, squeezed in after 2 hours of foot-operated log splitting. Clear skies and setting sun made stunning views from the top.

Trail/Road running 57:00 [3]

Back woods, Waltersmuir Res, Gathering Stone, loop back through the little trails (and found a non-muddy new one, wow!).

Road Biking 48:00 [3] 20.0 km (2:24 / km)

Chalmerston Road loop lunchtime ride. Cut it short as the weather was minging and my fingers weren't thawing.

Trail/Road running 37:30 [4]

The sesh I missed last night was 9 x 3min on, 1 min off. My KP track is not quite 3 mins, so did 10 instead. Epic.

Orienteering 59:43 [4]

Club Champs at Beecraigs - Blue
Good blast and body held up despite the tiring and stressful week. Round the road for the long leg and quite a few doglegs - not sure if these were the quickest routes. Lost a minute on no 7 - one of the clearing-in-the-green controls.

Dinner dance antics in the evening. Shame there was no "most improved senior athlete of the year in south-east D trophy" coz I feel like I've come a long long way in the last year, but lovely to have the owl back :-)

Trail/Road running 25:00 [3]

Too tired.

Trail/Road running 1:11:00 [3]

OHR easy fartlek week. Easy usually means hard and all on roads so rebelled and opted for a hilly off-road run instead - had company as 2 others were tempted too! Up most of Dumyat, across to Cockburn Res, back through Hermitage (passing the lovely ladies going the opposite way) and around the loch.

Orienteering 56:53 [4]

Scottish Score Champs at Achlean. 60 mins.
Tempted by the 100 pointer on the cairn at the very top, and then worked my way north through the gorgeous technical stuff on the east side of the track. Fantastic. Focussed on attack points. Happy to be o-ing well under pressure, esp in the last 25 mins. Perhaps I should set myself a target time for every race! Near-perfect route; just needed 3 more mins to nip and get a 20 pointer to beat hubby. Oh, I was back 3 mins 7 seconds early. Doh!

Trail/Road running 48:00 [3]

Lovely loop around Beachen Wood. Positively boiling above the mist, relatively.

Thursday Nov 13, 2014 #

Trail/Road running 42:00 [2]

Muddy lunchtime loop around Polmaise. Found the most beautiful path in the area, but then ended up at the far end in the ruff.

Tuesday Nov 11, 2014 #

Running (tarmac) 25:00 [4]

OHR 5 x 5 mins on, 2 mins off
Happy to have managed to sustain a similar pace throughout given illnesses.

Running (tarmac) 45:00 [3]

Trail/Road running 33:00 [3]

Lunchtime loop around Stirling Castle to wake the legs/lungs up after 10 days off. Nice to be back running.

Note
(sick)

Poor kids. No string course. 20 mins uphill walk to the start (if you are an adult). 2.2km(!) for the white course. 20 mins walk (if you are an adult) along a main road back from the finish. They did it though, helped by a few tricks of the trade of course, and hopefully not too scarred by it all. Bonus rabbit-eating-lunch watching from the car whilst having our lunch.

Saturday Nov 8, 2014 #

Note
(sick)

Might as well get all illnesses done at the same time - succumbed to the sickness bug the rest of family and half the town has had.

Tuesday Nov 4, 2014 #

Note
(sick)

Intense work day but at least no time to be tempted to make sinuses worse. Foot tendonitis fine now, after so much time off!

Monday Nov 3, 2014 #

Note
(sick)

Plan = long terrain run.
Actual = stuffed sinuses and two poorly kids.
Escaped to London.

Sunday Nov 2, 2014 #

Note

Still a bit fragile from chiro
