Wasn't mentally prepared for over an hour and head cold coming on fast. Good to see new parts of the area that didn't involve brambles or bracken. :-)

Bethecar Moor Blue 5.2km 260m
WILD weather! Strong wind and lashing rain and very marshy underfoot. Was quite distracted by the weather and went over on my ankle half way round but navigationally not too bad considering. Job done on the UKOL anyway. Kids happily did the 'free because no string course white' despite the weather (and the organisers packing the start up before they arrived).

Simpson's Ground Middle - Blue 3.km
Expertly planned course with 21 controls. Totally in-your-face orienteering; had to focus hard on the nav the whole time whilst running/clambering/wading/climbing - fab!

Stole something from the kids' Halloween buckets to eat half way round and it turned out to be some sugar lace thing which I just couldn't begin to think about eating; serious autopilot back from Braco!
