Loch Earn OWS. Roger got me permission to gate-crash his gang. Boat out 2km-ish, swim back. Not experienced such huge waves before - couldn't swap sides breathing very often as got dizzy and disorientated! Timing of breathing and gliding with the waves was key! Getting out the water was very comical; had to crawl to avoid falling over. Good to know the distances is no problem, the cold is almost bearable and I can deal with such rough conditions. Hoping on the day it's not so rough though, as the target is under 40 including wetsuit removal!

So my TFL had stopped hurting permanently over the last 3 weeks and hey presto, back at work and it reappears. Still, wanted to try a jog as by the end of the French O week things seemed okish when jogging/shuffling in terrain. But no, not good. Joglette with lots of stretching and walking. Definitely pulled a wee muscle in my lower back in the last 24 hours too, adductors very tight, blah blah.
