Oh so tired - nearly turned back on way to start! Managed to do the mind over body thing but then fell asleep/lost focus from mental exhaustion on no 6 (2.5 mins) and 10 (2 mins) - oops! No 12 mapping was wrong too!! Progressograph seems to show running ok so that's a positive - just need to go the right way!

What a fanastic area and fantastic course! Ran hard but also tried to be careful after denting my confidence last Sunday. Banana-ed no 2 as confused by paths, a bit too hesitant on 6 and totally missed nice path route to left on no 10. But it was amazeballs so very happy! Totally knackered after manning the yellow/white and putting it out/shadowing/collecting etc, plus epic walk to start, plus swimming first!!

Sarah got the women's overall win - apart from a wee tow from Jon our splits were pretty similar where I was feeling confident :-)

Depressingly had to admit hamstring insertion and piriformis were kicking off so badly that I shouldn't run. Waa. Thoroughly depressed at the thought of being injured again. Kick up the butt that I have replaced ost mgym work with running/biking rather than adding it on top .... not sure how to squeeze it all in!
