Road (Bobbin Head) 3:20 [3] 68.0 km (3 / km)
What a bugger of a day.
Went first via Darvo's house (on mounty's Scott as my Trek is a little unwell) and nearly got killed on Rosedale Rd by a middle aged lady in a Mercedes who obviously was not familiar with the basic concepts "cyclist on the road" and "right of way". After come close to becomng a fixture on her front bumper I arrived at Darvo's house in tears and had to sit down for 10 minutes to stop shaking.
After that we headed together to Bobbin Head. As feared, the road works have started there as well. Loose rocks expected to go on by the end of this week. I then had a flat, and kept struggling with a slow leak after that. Mounty's tyres are well overdue for renewal - I think I'll give him some new ones as a pressie - and give the bke a big clean.
Made it home after having to add air t the tyr every 5-10 minutes.
I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee back home....
