Road (Mt White return) 5:30:00 [4]

Rode thru Bobbin Head with Paul, then on my own. Feeling pretty wary today but pushed thru. Had difficulty keeping my eyes open in the last hour. Must be the fact that I had NO coffee today (due to no milk at home!)

Road (4 Gorges) 4:15:00 [5]

Finally caught up with Darvo - haven't seen him for yonks. Paul joined me from Pentecost to Berowra Waters turn-off. After that hooned on my own. Felt pretty solid today and worked on leg speed and cadence while maintaining power.

Spin class (RPM class) 50:00 [5]

Good interval session. Went way harder than intended. Must have been the crap and loud music played by the instructor.

MTB race (8 Hour Killingworth) 7:55:00 [5]

Had been looking forward to this one a lot, as hubbie Richard was racing solo as well. I headed off ahead, then Richard cought up hapfway the first lap just as I was heading into the bunting which fenced off a sharp left hand corner (and this occurrence was obviously witnessed by him). We then rode together for a few laps, until Richard pulled ahead after I had slipped on a muddy corner at the bottom of a pinch climb. He then took a few minutes lead in the following hour.
When coming through transition after 6-7 laps I found out Richard had hurt his thumb and was 'going to give it another try' with his finger strapped. Felt a bit worried and lost some focus and interest. Coming into transition the next lap he was standing there waiting for me, to let me know he was going for a run insted as his thumb was hurting too much.
Rats. Pacer gone! I moved into chugging along mode - as you do - as this was my last decent long training ride before World Cahmps, but felt sad as Richard was hurt and 'our little race' was over. Would I have passed him? We'll have to find out another time.

Road (Cottage Point return) 2:10:00 [4]

Disastrous start to the day.

First decided to change front tyre as was flat again after last ride. Decidd to put a new front tyre on to avoid further punctures. After heading down to Cottage Point noticed front tyre was going down again (I had had to use a fixed tyre as I had no spare tubes) and pumped it up as best as I could with my little hand pump. Coul;dn't put more than 60-70psi in. Hobbled back home in tears with frustration.

MTB (Terrey Hills trails) 3:00:00 [4]

Take two for the day. Initially headed to Terrey Hills on red Fuel 110 with a view of going around Akuna on the road. Decided to check out the off road trails instead. Headed down just after Park gates onto Centre Trail. Linked up to Waratha trail off West Head Road which had some pretty punchy pinch climbs on it. Returned to Terrey Hills via Duckhole track. Lovely loop and a great recovery for the day that started so bad. I had to call after school care to took care of the kids but it was well worth it.

shoes: Nike Lance

Met up with Alex Randall at Pentecost corner. Thru Bobbin Head, had two flats, then continued on my own after bobbin on Old Pacific highway to Mount White. Starting in miserable rain, sun came peeping thru the clouds after 3 hours Back to return when re-entering St Ives. Good pace. Pretty tired at the end.
