Road intervals (Bobbin Head ) 3:20:00 [5]

Session 4 - repeated last week's session.

Good session. Bit more tired in the leggies compared to last week.

Road (West Head) 1:40:00 [4]

Session 1 - after last week's poor route choice west head proved to be a very suitable choice for this session. To be repeated next week!

Road intervals (Arthur Street) 2:10:00 [5]

Session VO2 2 - Artur Street repeats.

Pretty knackered in the legs, found last set of 3 x 3 hard to meet target. As it turned out from chat with Fenner in arvo I had misunderstood session and actually did two repeats too many.

Pfew. That makes me feel better.

MTB (endurance / SE) 1:40:00 [4]

Session 2 - started riding from St Ives where Annika was at a softball tournament. Feeling a bit sluggish on the technical side - could use some racing practice!

Took Tom and a friend (Jack N) for a MTB ride at Terrey Hills - bit over 60 minutes. (Guess that doesn't count as training time?) I hope I haven't scared Jack off for life - at least he learned using both brakes is a good idea on a steep descent!

Went downstairs ready to go for a road ride only to come to the realisation MY NEW ROADIE HAS BEEN STOLEN!!!! Needless to say I am pretty pissed off. Too upset to ride and went for a casual run instead in the arvo to calm down (after spending hours on the phone with insurance company and police). At least it looks like the bike will be covered.

AAAAAAAARGH!

Road (endurance / SE) 3:20:00 [5]

Session 4 - Rode from Belrose Supacentre to Bobbin head for interval session on bottom part of Kalkari Hill, recoveries to Apple Tree Bay which worked well. Rode via Terrey Hills to complete training time.

Good session. Sore legs now.

Session 1 - at Terrey Hills / Daffy's Forest section. Proved poor choice as hard to maintain constant HR. Need to chose other route next week.

Session VO2 2 - Cut warm-up and -down short by 5 minutes each due to time constraints

Session at Arthur Street loop - works really well.

Felt pretty good after session and achieved target HR at each interval.

Session 1R - Recovery ride into town from High St and back (35 minutes each way).

Road (Akuna loop) 2:10:00 [3]

Akuna Bay loop with Guenti and friends. Felt pretty crap and was seriously underdressed. One of the most unpleasant rides I can remember for a long time. Decided to cut planned 4 hour ride short ending at Annika's Tball game in St Ives for a hot chocolate - body just not up to it. Not sure what was wrong just positive it was more than just undercooling.

Road (Old Pacific Hway) 3:30:00 [5]

Out to the old Pacific Highway - had to turn around at Mt Colah train station due to time constraints. Felt awsesome. Nice pushing on the hills, body was working great. And a beautiful day as well.

Including 3 x 1.5 minute intervals with 1.5 minutes rest, then 10 x 1 minutes 1 legged session at full intensity (5x each leg), 2 x 5 minute sustained sessions with rest in between. All while watching a good MTB DVD. Nice way to spend a rainy day.

Akuna Whead than back thru Akuna. Solid pace to W head and back to Akuna (in prep for Akuna multisport race). Did about 65 minutes. Back down the hll to add some training time.

Commute to city for lunch with Kylie C - rode from Smith St to save time. Relaxed ride in, hurry home to collect the kids from school. Almost brought up my coffee and cake.

Feeling on the mend. Still not that much power but happy to be moving along without feeling sick.

paddle (Roseville bridge) 1:30:00 [3]

Paddled 3km upstream then 3km downstream (total 12km).

Very sore ass from short leg setting. Really need to sort this as ass wont last much longer. Got annoyed with fishing boats zooming past whole the time. Down stream much nicer. Nice to pretend I can actually paddle.

First ride back - wheee - dizzy spells galore. Not quite ready for this stuff yet.
