Did some O training out at Pot Luck with Greta, Imogene, Maja and Tom...just warmed up as I got into it...was really tough out on the dunes as I was rather tired in my body from yesterday...was a fun course...there were a few felled bits which made it hard...but the rest was fun...a bit tired by the end :) didnt feel so fast today :/

Waitaks run with Greta and Maja :) was a nice run...really fun! up one hill near the end, I started losing my breath quite a lot...was really hard to breath? so weird? Felt good the rest of the run apart from a tight bum :P

Summer Nav series #1 at the Domain...decided to do the long course...started it out like a sprint race which was such a bad idea as it was sooo long and i just got so tired! only made an error at the erosion gully thing near the end, and going to 15 was bad and coming out of it was not so good...overall...was so tiring, but fun :)

Middle Distance today..
was really tired from yesterday and muscles were rather sore...also not much sleep due to the awesomist game ever! :D
managed to take it steady in the beginning as i knew it was a little tricky...over the course, i didnt really make that many mistakes, it was just the speed of my pace decreased very quickly as the run went on :P especially the legs in the long grass, which i could not physically run through :P damn short legs! :P anyway...really fun map and course...shame i couldnt do better, but hey, it was fun :)

Terrible terrible run!!!!! Even worse than my runs in Australia :( Started off with the worst start possible losing 11-12min at number 1...actually took a good route and got there pretty fast, but then i stuffed around for so long trying to actually find the control...I kept relocating off everything obvious around the circle, but kept coming back to the same bit ?? then tessa caught me (6min behind) and we were looking for a bit too, then carl and jeff were there too and we eventually found it...i know my navigation must have been bad, but i swear there was something weird going on with the map there?? :/ yeah so i didnt know whether or not i should just run back or do a few controls and then run back...no motivation whatsoever.. :( anyway, kept going...lost so much time on 2 as i just couldnt get to it...Laura caught me by this stage (12min behind)...holy moly, what was i doing?? oh well...just decided to start again and try race laura...managed to stuff up #4 too :/ then the rest was ok, a few little errors but nothing quite as major as the previous mistakes...was so slow and walked so incredibly much!!...overall a poop as run...but i guess it was a good long training for me then ;)

Auckland Sprint Champs...
Didnt feel very speedy in my legs today, but was excited to race anyway :) managed to have a good run apart from a few silly route errors and a 15sec mistake at 15 where i went the wrong way around the building and had to come back a bit :/ other than that i guess it was just my speed was average... such a long sprint though! maybe the Womens elite could have had a slightly shorter version? or the run across the field to be left out?

Orienteering Training with Johanna, Matt and Duncan...
we went through beautiful hills to start off with which was nice but hard...would be so cool if it was mapped a lot better...some of the time i had no idea what was going on :P Johanna caught me after a little mistake, so we ran together for most of the training...we got to a really nice white part on the map, to discover the trees had been felled, so that was so physically tiring!! we were climbing over logs and jumping etc...decided to give up when we found matt and dunc, so we did the last few controls in beautiful hills and then ran back to the cars...was so tough...not a great training...but i guess got some strength out of it ;)

cant remember how long this was? but we were out running for a while...had a few difficulties navigating today, which was not so good...my mind was wandering off a bit...think it was a lack of sleep and too much uni work on my mind :P

have had a whole weeks rest from doing anything! was pretty weird to be out running again...felt ok...a little bit blocked up, but i think that is from the lack of sleep atm..
the ball of my foot is still a bit sore :/

Oceania Relay Champs
Ran 1st leg...was worried for my team mates as I really was unsure how I would go...was scared i might collapse out there :P but i tried to think positive and told myself even if i feel sick or get tired, I will keep pushing with the navigation so I am happy with my run and come back not too far behind...and it worked :)
I couldn't run as fast as I could or would like to, but I didn't really make any mistakes either...at #8 we had a long leg which was a split, and I was with Vanessa and Rachel...they kept runnning down the hill and I was like 'what?' so I read my map more carefully and realised my control was on the rock just behind me...so lost a few seconds, but not much...so was chasing the other 2 down towards the spectator...but then the last loop was on open farmland which was shit easy, but i just couldnt run fast which sucked so much! I know i would be prefect on something like that in the end of a relay if i felt good...grr :/ Oh well...only 1min behind the AUS team...so wasn't too bad considering the state I was in...
Finally happy with my run here in OZ as there were no silly mistakes :) yay! just freaking slow :(

Australian Long Distance Championships
Was off to an ok start...a few little mistakes here and there, but easily recovered...was not too sure on my route choice to 5, but I got 2nd fastest, so I am guessing it was good :)
Completely stuffed up 6 and lost nearly 4min...Lizzie and Susanne caught me...managed to keep up with lizzie and lost Susanne...but then I tried to go a different way to 11 and lost a little bit of time...so then I had lost lizzie...was ok to 12, then stuffed up 13, 14, 15, 16 and 19!!!!!!! so obviously I never saw lizzie again and didn't even see any of the other girls who must have flown past me :(
I am not sure how I made many mistakes, but I am thinking I must have been concentrating on running as I was definitely getting tired by then..I felt like I couldnt even lift my legs after 15 onwards after making all of my mistakes...it was like my body shut down and I just couldnt push or concentrate on my orienteering...
overall a very disappointing day again :(

Oceania Sprint Distance Championships

Felt a little bit better than the other days...but still a little gunky... :/
Had an ok race apart from a few hesitations and lost nearly 30sec at #6..was too low and got rather confused... a few route choices might be bad too...there were so many controls out in the forest on every feature, so I found myself checking if I was going right all the time, which I shouldn't have done...should have more confidence!
Couldnt push too hard in the running, but it wasn't that fast as it was in the forest which was kind of good for me today :)
Was 1min down from Grace and only 30sec from Lizzie...so I think I could easily see my time up there which made me feel better than all the other races :P

ran the senior girls course for the schools champs after they raced..
had an ok run apart from #3 where I lost 8 or more minutes on it!! arghh! wtf :( just went too low and saw all of this green which i could not make out and the contours were confusing...so I mucked around for so long! :/ Not good :/ felt so hard to run...felt so sick :/

Ran W21E... Very messy course...made so many mistakes everywhere! Was trying to run too fast for the speed I needed to take...not very happy with that run...felt like crap too :(

Oceania Long Distance Champs...
ran W21E...not a very good race...a few mistakes at #2 and #3...then a huge mistake at #9.. :( if you watch the GPS, I just totally didn't see it, so then got so confused for ages and did a huge mistake! :(
Was so cold and wet too, so I managed to get rather sick after the course :(
