Laura ran amazingly and Tim as well! Ross dropped a bit, and I ended up going out alone.. a few hesitations here and there, but was just a bit tired. A lot of hard running! Hungarian caught me at the end of the Zoo, but then I had the longer splits in the end...was too hard to just catch her...
Ended up 12th which we were happy with!

Definitely going home to get a running coach and am going to get super fast so that we can reach that top 6 goal next year ;)

Thierry set a Sprint training down on the lower part of the castle map.
Ran well for the first half of the course and nearly caught Cecile by the 10th control, but I got a little tired and took a few wrong route choices in the end and lost a bit of extra time.
Fun to get into the sprint technique training side of things though!

Run around the lake. Got a bit confused in the beginning as the triathlon was on in Säter and I ended up somehow being in the path that the runners were running haha. Turned up the hill and took a longer way out to the road that goes around the lake.
Nice and warm still...saw a very long snake and it scared the bajeebuz out of me!

10x400m with around 90sec recoveries jogging.

Have never run on the track in Säter before and it was quite nice as it is fairly new! The problem is that the track is actually 360m (who knows why?)...so we did start at the 400m mark which was 40m back and finished by running past this mark and to the finish each time.

Jonathan was just behind me on 9 of the intervals, but the last one he boosted it as he wanted to beat me on at least one ;)

Was happy with my paces as they were mostly 83sec and the fastest was 82 and the slowest 84...so pretty consistent! A few weeks ago I did these in Uppsala and was up running around 88sec...so much better this week! Fun to see improvements.

Was very hot and my throat was so dry! Nice session though! Think I killed Jonte a bit :P

Another adventure up a giant hill nearby...the gradient was so steep on the way up that I really couldn't run. Had to walk pretty much the whole way up.

Wanted to take another route down that wasn't so steep although I had to go up and down over the tops for a while..was getting rather tired.

Fun run and cool area! Lovely views!

Throat rather sore again and was up coughing a lot last night...I hope it goes away soon with a few easier days...

Orienteering wise it was ok with a mistake at 7, lost nearly 3min :/
Was slow on all the downhill stuff especially through the forest...hence why the 2nd part of my race was much slower.
Happy that I could complete the race with not so much pain!

Start of my long race at Passo Rolle...

Got a stick right through my shoe and into my foot near the 3rd control :( Took me like 10min to pull it out of my foot and then my shoe...Couldn't really run on it... :( Hate quitting a race, but I had to!

Didn't run so well in the beginning anyway, but the fun part of the course was starting at #3...booo

Was like 3km away, so hobbled and tried to even jog a bit on the side of my foot back to the arena.

Uh oh...bit of a disaster...tooooo many mistakes! Climbed to high to the first control, so was already off to a bad start! Then I just got very messy with my mistakes in the middle of the course. Had some company by Moa as well even if we weren't really doing the same mistakes, we somehow met up at the controls haha.

Did a beasty adventure in the evening from our AirBnB.

Left it a bit too late...was aiming to make it to the top of the closest mountain, but I ran wrong at one point (the maps weren't the best) and realised it may get dark on my way down if I decided to try make it...
Turned around and ran around a big hill to make up for it.
Was a very steep gradient up and down...I find downhill the hardest!
Nice and sunny evening...fun to get out and just enjoy! Great for the mind to be running alone as well :)

Still feeling average...can't really get enough sleep and the throat is still a bit weird. Have a very dry cough now too...

Second stage. Not really any mistakes today which was good. Just a bit slow and maybe a few micro route choice errors. Fun tricky bits today although we had a very long leg that took us between the towns. Hard to get to a top speed!

Got third again which meant I was 3rd overall in the 2 day comp. Got a nice bag of pasta, apples and cheese :)

Very hot today too!

First day of the Dolomites Sprint 2 days. Still feel rather average, but decided it would be fine to run around anyway. No top speed, but fun to be running in cute Italian villages.
Read the map wrong and realised I couldn't get through at an impassable fence, so had to double back and run back around...lost 75sec there :(
Other than that it was ok..just tired...it was also a very long sprint!

So slept like 1hr last night...Had to leave early for the airport too.
Travelling all day and got up to the Fiera di Primiero at like 10:30pm...extremely tired as was driving from Milan as well with the crazy Italian drivers...I am very surprised I stayed awake! I never drink energy drinks, but I had to stop and get a red bull!
