Very small warm up before the long distance. Was actually really cold today :( waa...autumn/winter is on its way. Did a lot of stretching before the run too.

Orienteering race 1:40:14 [4] 11.67 km (8:35 / km) +61m 8:22 / km

Linneklassikern Long distance. Decided to just take it like a training and make sure I get some good flow unlike yesterday.
First 2 controls were good. then the first long leg to 3 was not so good...well I think I took a relatively good and straight route choice, but the problem is that I am not the strongest forest runner. Should have taken the wider route along the road. oops. So lost some time there.
Lost a little bit on 8 where I was too far right of the line of hills..was caught up by Lovisa and the lady who won there. we were all together on the way to 9. I thought we were going a but too far right, so i corrected along with Lovisa. So lost a bit of time there too.
Was behind them on the way to 11, but was getting super tired and made a parallel error by going over a hill which was actually right next to the one I thought I was going over. So ended up too far right and near the marsh and a bit confused :P Managed to realise, and realised I fell on my garmin buttons when I fell over so had to press start again :P So lost a lot of time on 11 and thereafter the rest of the course as I had lost the two girls to run with. Just plodding along and trying to keep orienteering ok...
Didn't see the water stop and it was not marked on the map, so was getting rather tired near the end. Falling over a lot! Especially with these super huge blueberry bushes!
Actually enjoyed today as I thought of it as a nice long training. Yea there were mistakes and route choice error and general tiredness, but enjoyed the map, course and terrain! :) Hopefully some day soon I will get my Orienteering mojo back after losing it pretty much this whole year living in Sweden :P

Probably one of the worst races of the season :( Along with the middle qual at WOC...grr...don't know why it went so wrong? number 1 and 2 were fine...steady but fine. Then on the way to 3 I was ticking off everything and was going well until I hit the vege boundary area where everything changed...must have got really thrown off! Thought I knew what I was doing, but turns out I didn't...kept matching the map to where I thought I was and it was just not working. Was running around stupidly until I was at 5?? WTF! Stupid me..back to 3 I went...3,4,5,6 were all fine after finally knowing where I was! But 9min mistake on a control is ridiculous!! and another 3-4min on 7!! Was in the right place for so long, but did not look hard enough...ran away from the cliff a few times...then a minute or so on one of the really short ones in the end.
Super embarrassing race. Not so happy with my orienteering atm. Seems my mind is a bit loopy right now :P

Very very easy run with Rassmus. Was actually fun to do a recovery run with him as he goes super slow! I get so tired and bored if I do this alone, but I think it is best, especially for a recovery run! Was glad he made me go that pace :P
Knee feeling ok today although ITB and quad muscles all very tight and a bit sore...overall body feels fine from yesterday which was good :)

Ran to backbana and ran one lap with Annika and Cat, then Cat joined me for an extra half a lap which seemed long anyway :P Was getting a little slow on the downs and ups in the end :P was tough as havent done so much hills recently or running long...
Coulndt find my Garmin so have no route. Ran home after the hill running.

Knee felt good today :) ITB a little tight although I ran with Kinesio tape on it today for the first time ever and I thought it was actually quite good? Maybe use it in the weekend too for the competitions.

Lunsen is a love hate relationship...and today was hate...thats all ;)

Knee feeling niggly, but much nicer to run in the forest than on roads...feels like its not always the same constant movement...more twisting and turning and different techniques when used in the forest so less pressure on ITB-knee area. Had a jammed left ankle too which was rather painful. Unsure of how to get rid of this or help it? been feeling it quite a lot recently when orienteering...although it is not my bad ankle? So maybe it needs some strengthening or something? will try and do the wobble board at home as much as I can.

me and Elin took the team sportia training today. we did short and long intervals on barkbanen. I ran a few short ones fast and only cruising around the other ones. Knee rather sore atm :( so took it easy...
