ran 1 lap of backbana with Cat and Annika. Started with Lina and Thierry, but then Thierry ran a little bit faster on the steep ass hill and Lina fell a little behind...too tired to do another half...but still a nice long and hilly run :) saw the girls running by the river and gave them a yell back too :) was cool!
Next time I will have slept better in the week and can join annika and cat for another loop :)

This race is done in pairs and at night, so Rassmus and I decided to do the Mixed Long race. It was a mass start with all the other teams, and it was rather competitive in our grade! So plan is pretty much for the girls just to follow the guys :P hehe...Rassmus made a few mistakes, so we were losing time a lot. The forest was super tough to run in and at night...shit and stones everywhere! Managed to feel ok...bit tired at times...Made up time on the track running bits which was good...tried to push in the end too which was fun! there were a lot of teams close behind and the other teams just in front.
We ended up 5th 47sec behind the winners Lutas and Inga! Very tired at the end! a lot of pushing and hardly any map reading :P

15min warm up out into the forest to the start.
No warm down as the temperature dropped to 0 whilst we were out there! frost already just in the 1hr of racing! super cold when i finished and just needed to hit the showers

uh oh! Night orienteering in Lunsen!!
First 4 controls were good...and started getting a good flow...then going to 5 I couldnt make out anything...decided to keep on running and maybe sooner or later a bigger feature on my plan would pop up...and nope...never happened...so looked down and realised compass was south!? (wtf?!) How did I do that? and was it like that coming out of 4 or was it recently? Had a major stress out and tried to find something familiar...and just had no clue! Tried to run backwards where I had come from...still didnt make sense...found a track/marsh thing and ran on it for a bit before coming to an impassable marsh. Decided to follow that around, and then finally decided where I could possibly be? But was not so confident about that...saw headlamps and yay!! people! Took the last few controls but yea...definitely coming back to attempt this another time.
The thing is I have trouble in this part of Lunsen in the day time anyway...what was I getting myself into!!
Sounds like Lisa and Sam had a good plan of actually taking it as a training! Maybe I find a buddy next time so I am not tempted to go fast for my night orienteering abilities (or lack of!)

Night Sprint training.
Had a busy day and only just made it to the training, so not very warmed up etc... Had a really gluggy stomach and was so tough to run fast...so just took it at a training pace and didnt push. Was a shame as the orienteering was good...a bit slow on the exiting of controls, but I havent trained sprint in a long time, so maybe that was why :P

Long morning run with Sam down to the lake etc. Such a nice day to run...not super sunny but calm. The lake looked so beautiful!
was nice to run long with someone :) Had many different conversations...some depressing and sad to interesting things :p
Got rather tired and sore towards the end...knee getting sore/weak. Breathing was strange today...but I know why as I havent been sleeping so great the past 2 nights.

First Tisdagsbana of the winter training season!
Was fun! managed to go a comfortable pace with a short fast track run with Sam and Jakob at one stage to catch the back of the group :P
Suprised how ok I felt as had hardly any sleep last night :/
had a bad stomach in the last 30min...

Was in town with Rassmus and we were running late...so we biked home so quick! Almost as good as a warm up...but wont log it ;)

Didnt jog after either as we had the Club meeting
