Nice 15min jog before the race and only about 5min cool down back to the car.

Middle distance (which turned into a sprint in the end).
First race of the year! woohoo!
Felt a bit rusty trying to get the first few, but sort of got into a flow. Bit of a weird way on the long leg though.
When I was at #7 I thought it said 33 instead of 32 (33 was number 8 which was close by), so I ran back thinking I was heading back to number 7 from 8, but I wasn't :( It did say 32 :( I don't know how I made this mistake! Lost a lot of time there fluffing about. Finally went back and checked again and was not happy! Tried to speed off to 8 and totally muffed it as well, but managed to cool down on the next longish leg. Went a bit too up and down on the massive gorges, but it was ok. Screwed up 11 as I thought it was still going to be on the hillside, but i soon realised and made my way down!
The rest was good. Sam caught me and we finished up the sprint bit sort of together, or she was in front ;)
Was in 9th place just before 7 and without it I would have had a pretty stable race but oh well, at least I know I'm on the right track with some things :)
Fun course! Annoyed at my silly mistake on reading the numbers but meh it was my first race in a very long time, so it was good to get it out of the way early I guess :P

Nice easy training on a map that was on the way back to Alicante from where the race was. Super fun and easy! Wanted to push the pace but decided not to as I don't want to go out too hard for the week ahead ;)
Includes running to the start and a tiny jog at the end.

Nice Orienteering training once we came to our accommodation in Alicante. Running with a huge smile on my face!! :D Happy to be in the warmth, sun and orienteering in sand dunes once again! :D
We did a cruisey training and took turns with Sam, Lisa and Riina leading the group to each control.
(includes jog to the start and back home)

Feeling ok today...not great but ok, so decided i just needed to get out and jog after work to get the legs moving.
Felt ok actually. Went down to stadsparken to check out all of the ice sculptures they had done down there.

Full rest day. Felt run down and bleh again today. Snotty nose, bit of a headache and tiny bit of a sore throat.

Collecting controls from todays sports day. Was a beaut of a day with around -2 ish weather and super sunny! Did a lot of walking around some of the courses too! Another rest day from proper training. Feeling much better today, but don't want to push it!
