10 AM

Running warm up/down 21:23 [2] 3.34 km (6:24 / km) +2m 6:23 / km
ahr:132 max:165 shoes: X-Talons 212

Warming up in the pouring rain! Warmed up kind of earlier than I wanted to as I was so cold and it was raining so much and I had to do something! Throat/body not the best this morning, but I will try my best!

Running race (Vasastafetten) 54:18 [5] 11.13 km (4:53 / km) +89m 4:42 / km
ahr:179 max:206 shoes: X-Talons 212

Vasastafetten 3rd leg in the 'Nip Tape Team'! haha
We had three of us from my work and 7 others from other IES schools in Sweden. I jumped in last minute as one guy pulled out.

Ellen was tagging to me and unfortunately they didn't call out her number or write her number up, and since there were so many people in the change over and it was raining so much and was incredibly muddy there, I paid a lot of attention to the speaker...eventually I heard Ellen yell my name, and there she was waiting for me at the change over!! :O
I felt so bad and I quickly asked how long she had been there for and she said quite a long time! SHiiit! I quickly grabbed the timer from her and sped off!

I had a bit of adrenaline in the beginning as I thought she had been waiting there for more than 5min or so! The race went straight into tiny muddy and rocky downhill tracks! MUCH more technical than I thought and was rather glad I at least had my inov8s on! Sped past a lot of teams in the beginning and throughout the whole course I just kept passing people and not one single person passed me! Was a great feeling actually! Got quite lactic on the uphills and some areas where I tried to push the pace, but I assume that was an effect of having a small cold and the body not responding so well!

Overall a super fun leg and I ended up going out in 82nd and coming in in 41st! So passed a few teams ;) Apparently I was 12th on my leg? Guess terrain running skills came in handy for the orienteers today given the conditions!

Our team did so well and was such a fun day! Thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to do it again! Body is going to pay for racing and being wet and cold most of the day, but it was worth it ;)
1 PM

Note

Had to change directly after the run as it was pouring down and I was so cold!

Turns out Ellen had only waited at the changeover for about 1min haha...

Running 22:49 [2] 3.83 km (5:58 / km) +69m 5:28 / km
ahr:137 max:156 shoes: Aasics DS trainer black

Pre-breaky jog. Nice and sunny! The weather turned pretty cloudy and rainy soon after this run, so it was good timing!
Feeling a bit bleh today...little bit of a scratchy throat and the foot thing was very sore/bruised. Will have to take pain killers for tomorrows running race I think...

Washed my HRM and it seems to be working better... :)
6 PM

Note

Travelled up to Rättvik straight after work. Got there kind of late, so no time for an evening jog.

Throat a little sore today...uh oh...

Running warm up/down 12:51 [2] 2.21 km (5:48 / km) +59m 5:07 / km

Warm up

Orienteering intervals 54:18 [5] 7.79 km (6:58 / km) +33m 6:49 / km
ahr:186 max:207 shoes: Icebugs 2017

Ran 6 intervals trying to hold on to the back of the guys group. Went ok...bit tired as it meant I only had about 30sec or so recovery at the end of each interval :P
Jogged the 7th interval and skipped the last one otherwise it would've been so long!

HRM being bung again :P

Running warm up/down 15:22 [2] 2.25 km (6:50 / km) +35m 6:20 / km
ahr:161 max:177 shoes: Icebugs 2017

Plod back home with Anna and Ruairi. Was feeling really tired! Hit my foot on a rock during one of the intervals and it was really bruising up and hurting on the warm down and in the evening...

Running long 1:10:30 [3] 11.27 km (6:15 / km) +110m 5:58 / km
ahr:154 max:206 shoes: Aasics DS trainer black

Small tracks in Nåsten with Johanna. Cool that's she's back from the summer break now :)
We lost the track for a bit and was just running through the forest, but it was a beautiful evening, so it was all good!
HRM playing up again. Think I should get the battery changed...

Running hills 1:12:20 [4] 11.33 km (6:23 / km) +261m 5:44 / km
ahr:150 max:186 shoes: Aasics DS trainer black

Hill intervals at the castle. 4xlong ones and 2xshort ones.
Was feeling pretty tired even on the jog down, but felt ok on the first one and maybe went too hard... paid for it on the rest of them with incredible lactic acid spreading all over my body! Even my arms! Haha

Warm up and warm down included.

Still pretty tired after not so much sleep in the weekend and mentally busy days at work.
