Running (Camelot area) 31:00 [2] 4.7 mi (6:36 / mi)
slept:10.0

Ice and slush is still on the sidewalks and shoulder of roads. Waited until 5pm to run. I have been reinforced that it is much easier to get out the door when I am physically tired in the morning as opposed to mentally drained near the end of the day.

Running (Evergreen + 288th) 40:40 [2] 5.5 mi (7:24 / mi)
slept:10.0

Took it easy as there is still slush and ice everywhere. I decided to plan every run by day for a while depending on how I feel. I don't have any goals other than the usual continuing improvement of my fitness level.

Running (Camelot + Kilo) 37:00 [3] 5.25 mi (7:03 / mi)
slept:10.0

Sidewalks still have 6-12 inches of snow as well as the sides of major roads. Neighborhood streets are full of slush and ice. Waited until after 4pm to run, hoping that at least some of the snow would melt but it started snowing around 2pm. I had pizza last night and for lunch today so my stomach would not have felt too well if I had gone on a longer run. It's frustrating having to share the road with stupid cars.

Running (Tuesday + Military) 1:01:00 [3] 9.1 mi (6:42 / mi)
slept:9.0

Lots of slush out. Could only run on the road. Stupid cars did not give me much room. Did kind of a fartlek each time there were no cars on the road. It was getting dark out so I cut the run short. Right ischium was tight at the start but that is it.

Running (Kenna Loop) 42:00 [3] 5.75 mi (7:18 / mi)
slept:9.0

Legs were not used to running on the pavement at first but nothing hurt!

Monday Dec 22, 2008 #

Running (Green River Trail) 1:01:20 [3] 7.4 mi (8:17 / mi)
slept:5.0

Cat kept waking me up all night. Felt surprisingly good at the start. My right ischium started to get tight near the end though. The snow was much easier to run on than yesterday.

Sunday Dec 21, 2008 #

Running (Military, 320th, Kilo) 1:02:00 [3] 7.45 mi (8:19 / mi)
slept:7.5

Pretty much did "high knees" the whole time due to the thick frozen snow. Right adductor did not feel too good and right ischium started aching (probably due to the poor footing). My heart rate was pretty high the whole time as I was just trying to keep on moving forward. I think I should have backed off on the effort today even though I wasn't moving very fast because my right hip area feels worse than it has all week.
