Running (Orienteering @ Shoreview) 1:10:00 [3] 9.4 mi (7:27 / mi)
slept:9.75

I need to slow the hell down and quit being so hasty. All I want to do is run fast but I keep on losing contact with the map. With this particular meet I screwed up from the start. I saw the guy before me go around the perimeter of the athletic field. I thought he was disoriented but he wasn't. So I headed to control #2 without looking at my map and noticed that I missed control #1. The splits for everyone on #1 were messed up. So #2 was fast; I ran into some little kid who was in my way right after. I found #3 because a lot of people were there. #4 was a piece of cake. I headed almost straight to #5 but it was slow going as I was in some green. I should have gone around. From 5-6 I was uncertain where to get onto the trail as I could not see the track. Controls 6, 7, 8, and 9 weren't very hard. From 9-10 I came out to the parking lot and wasted too much time analyzing the fastest way to the point. From 10-11 I almost went down the wrong road straight ahead and then proceeded to jog slowly to 11. Control 12 and 13 were in the open. Going to 14 was up a slick hill and in the open. From 14-15 I was suddenly having a brain fart like no other. Basically I went right past 15 and ended up at 7. I think I was distracted by some of my athletes. Nevertheless, it was my fault. 16 & 17 were in the open. I swear #18 was on the wrong cliff in relation to the athletic field. I proceeded slowly to it from #17 and ended up following someone down the slippery hill. #19 was easy and I went along by the lake to #20. That was a poor route choice as coming up was slow going. #21 was easy. Then without looking at the map very closely, I went up the sandy hill and bombed towards #22 but stopped at the fence opening thinking that I was at the end of the out of bounds for some stupid reason. I ran almost all the way back and turned around and sure enough, it was in the open. When I got to #23 I thought I missed a control for some reason because I had stopped looking at the control #'s. Then I jogged to the finish line but it did not take me 19 seconds or whatever it said. I finished in about 49 minutes. Overall, I give myself a D- (60%). -10% for every major mistake and -10% for 3 poor route choices.

Running (extended camelot) 31:50 [2] 4.64 mi (6:52 / mi)
slept:8.0

Waited until after 4 to run. Started having contractions with a half mile to go. I wish school didn't start until 10pm so that I could run in the morning forever.

Running (5mi Lake, Weyerhaeuser) 1:27:30 [3] 13.65 mi (6:25 / mi)
slept:9.1

I don't know why I ran this far other than I was feeling good before going out. Wore my Elixirs and found myself running a little fast at times. When I got to Weyerhaeuser my legs were feeling tired so I headed home.

Walking (Track) 32:00 [1] 2.0 mi (16:00 / mi)

I guess I might as well start recording my walks that I sometimes do. I don't think it is necessary to get carried away with recording the commuting I do on my bike everyday. I'll just note here that I sometimes bike twice a day when there are basketball games at the school.

Running (FW McDonald's Loop) 1:01:20 [3] 8.95 mi (6:51 / mi)
slept:8.75

Just like on Monday, I had to make a pit-stop at Steel Lake. I don't know if it is the poptarts, oatmeal, or cream cheese that i put on the bagel. I'm starting to think that it is not the food that i eat but rather how long i wait to run after i eat that causes me problems. One thing I know is that I cannot eat peanut butter EVER before I run. If I wait too long to run after I eat, I tend to get this bloated feeling after running for about 20 minutes.

Running (Tuesday Loop) 55:30 [3] 8.21 mi (6:46 / mi)
slept:9.4

Nice relaxed run. Right adductor was tight for the first 5 minutes and then after the run.

Running (TJ, Steel Lake, 320th) 1:12:40 [3] 10.45 mi (6:57 / mi)
slept:8.14

Right adductor was tight for the first 5 minutes. Stopped at TJ for 35 minutes and waited for the guys but it looks like they chickened out. Stomach ache the whole time so I made a pit stop at Steel Lake. Picked up the pace until around 51st.

Running (Boardwalk & Military) 1:10:00 [3] 10.63 mi (6:35 / mi)
slept:10.0

Started out steady but faster than usual and picked up the pace when I got to the top of Reith Road. Went slow on the hills. I was really hot when I finished so I went for a walk around the neighborhood immediately afterwards.
