Running (Tuesday + Military) 57:50 [3] 9.05 mi (6:23 / mi)
slept:7.0

Used a heating pad on my right adductor groin area before heading out the door. Took it easy as usual the first mile (7:50) and did not feel a thing. Then I took off my shirt because it was warm enough and started running faster. I figured I run faster without a shirt because more people look at me when I do that and I don't want them to think I'm jogging. Anyways, I felt pretty good so I kept the ball rolling and when I got to 320th, a bunch of cyclists (probably training for the STP) came up Peasley Canyon and I passed one of them. It was a good run.

Walking (neighborhood) 30:00 [1] 1.9 mi (15:47 / mi)

Running (Ft. Steilacoom from MTHS) 1:10:40 [3] 10.4 mi (6:48 / mi)
slept:8.5

Ran from Mt. Tahoma High School to Fort Steilacoom Park, did a perimeter loop and ran back. The first 3 miles my right adductor groin area was hurting and I was not very comfortable. After I came up the hill by the college, I did not notice it anymore. I felt good the rest of the way back and took off my shirt for the first time this year because it felt really hot out even though it was about 72 degrees.

Running (Military Loop) 54:30 [3] 8.5 mi (6:25 / mi)
slept:8.8

Ran to TJ, nobody was there. So I continued to Military Road, 320th, 51st to 288th and back. Right adductor groin area was bothering me the first couple miles. I felt like running fast today so I threw in a few pick-ups but every time I came to a hill I had to put it in granny gear.

Running (1,2,3,3,2,1 @ TJ) 46:20 [4] 7.6 mi (6:06 / mi)
slept:8.5

Still having a hard time falling asleep at night. I set my alarm for 6:30 instead of 5:30 this week because I can never seem to get my tired ass out of bed. I do not know why, but I just feel like crap running after school. It is as if I were to wait until Sunday evening to do my long run (not happening). I think I figured out what contributes to me feeling drained during late-April through early-June. It is not just that I can't wait for school to get out, but rather the warmer temperature this time of year. I tend to dress lightly in the winter (always wearing shorts) and adapt quite well to the cold. Even though I prefer the warm weather, when we get it, it is usually feels like it comes all at once and I do not have time to adapt. So when I got to TJ today, I was dripping in sweat, and that should not happen after just 10 minutes of easy running. As for the workout today, I felt like the hards were 5-10k race pace and the easy 1 minute between each was abalone. After measuring the route on the playing fields at TJ (via Google Earth), the 17 minutes came out to 2.93 miles. Basically, I feel like I went from having a big block V-8 to a 4-cylinder, a V-6 as best.

Running (Weyerhaeuser) 52:10 [2] 7.1 mi (7:21 / mi)
slept:8.5

Have not been sleeping very well these past few nights. My back hurts again and it was apparent on the run. It felt good to run though and my legs even felt fresh, which is weird because they felt like trash on Saturday. I threw in a few surges because Donny, Jeff and I were pretend playing Mario Kart and I just so happened to pick up a bunch of golden mushrooms. Then when I tried to lay a trap of banana peals, Donny used his mushroom and I tried to take a shortcut by ducking under the gate and I tweaked my back on the lower left side.
