I almost felt awesome on this run except I waited until 9:30pm to get out the door. Perhaps it was the new socks that made me feel so good. Or maybe it was the 2 turkey burgers. Anyways, I got that feeling like I was on a rail...like I was up on the balls of my feet the whole time and nobody could hear me coming. Surges became effortless and occurred spontaneously. I wanted to keep going but knew that I would likely get carried away if I kept going further away from home.

Left lower back started aching when I got to 51st but felt better after Cemetery Road. I was able to keep a steady pace and felt much better than yesterday. Despite the heat, I think I actually felt good. Immediately afterwards, I mowed and edged Squeaker's lawn. The edging hurt my back from bending over. Then right after that I rushed over to the middle school track meet and had some pizza and a sandwich. I want to start running more but I think it may be hard to do since I am busy and on my feet more often than usual right now.

I felt horrible on this run. I'm so glad I ran at 5am. I woke up at 4am and had to pee quite a bit last night. I guess I was not as dehydrated as I thought. My legs are very tight and tired and I have little chaffing going on.

I was feeling good about getting out the door this morning and getting my run done with since my legs did not feel too good. Then I found out that Ruston was doing Boardwalk today right after school (a record high was set today at 90 degrees). I thought he was crazy. Then in the afternoon, he talked me into going with him. So I rode home and when I ran back to TJ, I was already sweaty. During the run, the left side of my lower back was aching the entire time. Otherwise, I felt surprisingly fine considering the heat, my legs were tired, and I was hungry. I made Gatorade and even though I thought the line was lower than the last time I made it, I still filled it slightly lower so the ice would melt and it would be cold. The ice did not melt in time and it was too potent.

I should have run in the morning. Today was the hottest and humid day of the year and I was sweating for a long while afterwards. I ran/walked up and down the stairs at the stadium for the Federal Way middle school district meet.

Hamstrings were really tight and my legs felt sore. I should have worn deodorant because I got chaffing after about 30 minutes and ended up running with my arms out like SpongeBob the rest of the way home.

Took off down to West Valley Highway very slowly. Came up Peasley Canyon. Went around FW McDonald's to Military & home via 288th. Yesterday I took the day off and rode my bike to the bank and back (~8mi). When I came up from the valley I was gasping for air and my legs were burning. I think I might do a few sets of that this summer because it gave me that finishing a race kind of crappy feeling. Today I felt fine once I got down to the valley. Getting out the door was extremely tough today. I failed to get out yesterday and I don't know what is happening to me. I feel depressed and I think it is because I am running less.
