Running (African Safari) 48:35 [3] 6.75 mi (7:12 / mi)
slept:9.8

Legs were very tired when I woke up. Both achilles/shin areas are tight. Ran with Jeff from Russell Road Park to the African Safari by Van Doren's Landing Park and then on the other side of the river of the time trial course. Legs felt slightly worse as I went along. Finished the last 200m fast and then did another 200m stride.

Running (Ruston Way, Pt. Defiance) 1:38:25 [3] 13.45 mi (7:19 / mi)
slept:7.5

Took off at a steady but easy pace with Jeff and Jacob. Felt good so I kept it rolling. Stopped for a minute when I got to Pt. Defiance. I forgot that I was supposed to take the first 2 rights when I got to the top of the hill. I used to go out extra to stick to the main roads. Anyways, we ran about 1.25mi more than we needed to today. I like the triangle trail. It seemed long and was fun. According to the park website, it is 3 miles exactly. I rolled my left ankle but kept going and it was fine. On the way back, I stopped for a minute at the top of the hill. Then Jeff and I ran light-medium tempo pace the last 2 miles. Took a 12 minute ice bath at TJ.

Running (Kilo 3k + 288th) 46:15 [1] 6.2 mi (7:28 / mi)
slept:9.8

Felt pretty good, but I went slow and easy; so I don't know if I really am that fatigued. My legs don't feel sore from yesterday, but they are a little tired. Left ankle (outside) hurts when I twirl it. I think I hit it on the bench near the softball field. I've been doing the rubber band exercise for the past couple weeks, about every other day ┼

Running (Soos Creek Trail) 1:12:50 [4] 11.5 mi (6:20 / mi)
slept:9.8

Got after it right away. Felt like I was going too fast as I hit the first 3 miles in under 20 minutes. Stayed as relaxed as possible. Reached the end in 37:14. I didn't feel like I had enough in me to negative split. I was going to go hard for 20 seconds and easy for 40 for a few miles on the way back; but I felt tired; so I ran back steady to the playground. As soon as I crossed the street, I remembered that Ben (the Kenyan) and I had done 3 miles from there at a hard effort; so I put the hammer down. It didn't last long, so I pressed the rest of the way back when I felt like it. 35:32 on the way back (-1:42). I was pleased with the run but I do feel like I should take it easy the next couple of days. I've been taking 2 ibuprofen at 7am with breakfast for the last week and 2 after practice with lunch. Today I took 1 with breakfast and 2 with lunch. This is for the pain that I've been having in my left knee and right adductor. I took another 15 minute ice bath at TJ.

Running (Pt. Defiance) 1:15:00 [3] 10.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
slept:7.9

2 Perimeter Loops with Jeff. First loop = 38:40. Nothing bothered me! Did 2 strides afterwards; they felt forced and not smooth (maybe it was the poor footing). Took a 15 minute ice bath at TJ! I wore shoes this time and it felt so much easier that by the time I finally looked at my watch, it said 12 minutes. The only thing that was bad, I guess, is that I couldn't find my right nut until over a half an hour afterwards (when I was laying in the sun).

Running (Sac., Redondo, 272nd) 55:00 [3] 7.25 mi (7:35 / mi)
slept:7.9

Ran this as a segment run. Stopped 4 or 5 times. Went easy the whole time except for medium up the hill from the water and hard up the hill behind TJ. Did 4 diagonal strides (barefoot) on the football field. Felt good.

Running (Hi-C Loop) 1:19:20 [2] 10.85 mi (7:19 / mi)

Took off at abalone pace. Ran relaxed as much as possible most of the way. My stomach felt a little upset but not bad. My left achilles was aching until about after Kilo. Ice massaged right away afterwards (right adductor, left knee, left achilles).
