Running (Ruston Way + Pt. Defiance) 1:25:35 [4] 12.8 mi (6:41 / mi)
slept:8.5

Ran with Ben the same loop that Jeff, Jacob and I did on the last day of summer practice in July; except, we didn't run extra going there. We could have made it shorter running to the park but I like to turn right on 46th and another right at the Texaco gas station. Ben pushed the pace from the hill going out until the end. I managed to lead for a little while in the trails (triangle loop) but after struggling to keep up with him on the way out, he dropped me when we got back to Ruston Way. My legs were still sore but Ben was feeling good, so I had to pay the price. 15 minute ice bath at TJ. I talked Ben into getting in but he didn't last 30 seconds.

Running (Field Loops @ Totem) 1:02:50 [2] 8.4 mi (7:29 / mi)
slept:8.85

Hamstrings were very tight at the start. I had a hard time getting in the groove. When I got to Totem, I did 4 perimeter loops and my legs gradually loosened up. I continued onto Military and came back to Jeff's house (where I started) via 288th. The pavement did not feel good on my joints. 15 minute ice bath after working out in the weight room.

Weights (Upper Body) 50:00 [3]

Did random upper body lifts with 2 sets of calve raises and 100 crunches. Not in this order, I did 2 sets of shoulder shrugs (21reps/45lbs, 21reps/65lbs), 2 sets of bent over rows (21reps/45lbs), 2 sets of shoulder press (21reps/45lbs), 2 sets of barbell curls (21reps/45lbs), 2 sets of standing preacher curls (21reps/bar, 21reps/20lbs), 2 sets of seated rows (21reps/60lbs?, 21reps/100lbs?), 2 sets of tricep press-downs (21reps/60lbs?), 2 sets of bent over raises (21reps/5lbs, 16reps/10lbs), 2 sets of frontal raises (21reps/10lbs, 16reps/20lbs), and bench press (100reps/45lbs).

Running (BPA Trail) 1:00:30 [4] 9.25 mi (6:32 / mi)
slept:8.5

It was cool at the start (for a change) and I was feeling good. Ran up the hill behind the Aquatic Center, to the orange gate (27:33, 4.05mi), back along Panther Lake, around the interval trail, around the softball fields, and perimeter of the main soccer field. I pushed the pace the whole way, although it wasn't very fast. Did a leg workout at TJ and 15 minute ice bath.

Weights (Legs) 45:00 [3]

Lifted after my run. Squats - 21reps/45lbs, 16reps/95lbs, 11reps/115lbs, 6reps/145lbs, 11reps/115lbs, 16reps/95lbs, 21reps/45lbs. Leg Extensions - continuous 10-20lbs rotating double and single leg until a good amount of fatigue. Shin walks.

Running (Weyerhaeuser) 1:23:40 [3] 11.6 mi (7:13 / mi)
slept:8.0

Haven't been sleeping well these past few nights due to the heat. Woke up with another headache. I felt like crap at the start of the run and almost talked myself into turning back. I'm glad I didn't because when I got to Weyerhaeuser I was in the zone. Legs were a little tired but I ran easy the whole way. 16 minute ice bath.

Running (277th + 37th from Jeff's) 1:16:35 [3] 10.3 mi (7:26 / mi)
slept:8.0

Ran with Jeff to the bottom of 272nd, up 277th via the trail to the right, down 277th, along the Green River, through the empty streets of the new housing development, along 37th, back to Jeff's via 51st. Kept it pretty easy on the hills and steady/easy on the flat. 1,006ft elevation gain/loss according to Google Earth (with max slope 29.8% & -39.4%). Total hills = about 4 miles. We stopped 3x for traffic, pit-stop, and Jeff's toe. It was a good easy run for me. Took either a 15 or 25 minute ice bath (I lost track of time).

Running (Tuesday + Military) 1:07:15 [2] 9.05 mi (7:26 / mi)
slept:10.0

Woke up with a headache. I was sweating before I even started running. Left achilles shin area was aching a little and the left knee started bothering me a little the last mile. Legs feel very tired. Even though it was hot out and I didn't feel that good, it wasn't a miserable run ...probably because I was thinking about how Monica was probably suffering more than me while on her 14 mile run.
