Running (Camelot Loop) 31:30 [1] 4.1 mi (7:41 / mi)
slept:7.4

Took off incredibly slowly; first mile = 8:50. Felt pretty good for a Get Out of Bed and Go Run.

Running (Jornada-Kilo) 59:06 [2] 8.12 mi (7:17 / mi)
slept:9.0

Down to Interurban Trail, up Jornada, through Kilo (912ft elevation gain/loss). Yesterday was pretty hilly as well. My left calve is tight and I iced it after the run. I was very tired today at school and did not feel like running. I may have talked myself into not running had I not known I was having pizza for dinner. The sun was out and it was another warm day (66 degrees); so I was able to enjoy the run even though I almost fell asleep when I got home from school. Once I get rolling, everything becomes effortless (even the hills).

Running (Kent-Des Moines Loop) 1:34:40 [2] 13.76 mi (6:53 / mi)
slept:9.6

Ran down the hill to the Interurban Trail, around the apartments with the red roofs, up Kent-Des Moines Road, along Military, and back via 288th. Nothing bothered me except perhaps the shoes (Makani) not having much cushioning. My legs were pretty tired too.

Running (Weyerhaeuser Perimeter) 48:25 [2] 6.5 mi (7:27 / mi)

Ran with Ruston easy the whole way. Nothing bothered me. I forgot my running shoes so I wore my old Diadora GB 280's.
12 PM

Running (2 x Taco Loop) 43:33 [2] 6.15 mi (7:05 / mi)
slept:11.4

2 Laps on the track, jogged to bottom of hill by apartments (0.4mi). Ran 2 Taco Time Loops clockwise (2.63mi each). Ran around 19 minutes the first loop and 18:09 the 2nd. Everything felt fine.

Running (4 laps + Tuesday Loop) 55:43 [3] 8.0 mi (6:58 / mi)
slept:11.0

There was a steady downpour all day and I wasn't looking forward to doing a long run; so I just planned on running the TJ workout. Ran very slowly until about the 2mi mark of the Tuesday Tempo Loop. By then I was tired of being out in the downpour and my shoes were officially drenched, so I picked up the pace a bit. My first mile after the Kilo bus loop = 5:47. I pretty much maintained an even pace and ran 11:33 for 2mi and 13:36 overall. Even though I feel guilty about not running yesterday, I am starting to think that it is a key ingredient to running faster. I mean, it doesn't make sense to do bench press 7 days a week if I wanted to be able to press more; so why should I workout my legs 7 days a week? Maybe it is OK to run 7 days a week if I go easy 2 or 3 days out of the 7 and if most of the running is on soft surfaces; but almost all of my running is on the streets and almost all of it is at the same effort!
