Running (Capital Invite) 38:20 [3] 5.2 mi (7:22 / mi)
slept:7.0

Ran around the course filming 7 different races. Wore the GPS watch and set it so that it only recorded when I was moving under 9min mile pace. I was basically striding from point to point the whole time. Right adductor/groin area was hurting.

Running (Africa) 40:00 [1] 5.65 mi (7:05 / mi)
slept:7.0

Ate a banana for lunch. Boring day in PE. Didn't feel like running after school. Then I got excited because I live so close to Africa; so I went there and enjoyed every moment of it.

Running (Boardwalk + Sweet Briar) 1:00:00 [2] 8.6 mi (6:59 / mi)
slept:8.0

Took off really slowly. Legs felt tired but much better towards the end (after Deadman's Hill). Took a 15min ice bath afterwards and then went into the sauna for 15 minutes.

Running (4,6,4,2 x4) 37:30 [5] 6.3 mi (5:57 / mi)
slept:6.8

Was up late last night (11pm) working on my new toilet. Did not feel like running this morning. Legs felt achy and twangy. I decided to do today's workout with TJ and just keep it easy. On the warm-up, I went ultra slowly and my legs loosened up. So I decided to keep the intervals moderate. Oscar, Issapug & Matt pushed me, so hopefully I pulled them as well. After each set we had ~5min rest. 400's = ~72-69, 600's = ~1:54-1:41, 200's = ~34-33. The first 3 sets felt easy & comfortable, but slightly outside my comfort zone at times. The last set hurt but not for long as the intervals were very short. The heat definitely made the workout harder than it really was as I was drenched after the first 600. I played mind games today by trying to stay positive and loose the entire time. It worked.

Running (LA Fitness Loop) 37:00 [1] 4.7 mi (7:52 / mi)
slept:8.8

Took off incredibly slowly. Everything felt good after about 15 minutes.
3 PM

Running (Kilo Loops) 55:00 [1] 7.55 mi (7:17 / mi)

Ran towards the back on the way to Kilo and then with Issatree the rest of the way. Very easy run. Right adductor has been a little achy the past couple of days.

Running (Weyerhaeuser) 50:17 [3] 7.35 mi (6:50 / mi)
slept:8.0

Perimeter Loop + 3 laps around the WEA parking lot. Ran slightly faster than what I believe to be my current marathon pace the last 2.75mi (15:00). Either I am in better shape than I thought, or I measured wrong because 5:27 pace seems a bit fast for marathon pace (hopefully I measured correctly). 4 hill sprints with Leah afterwards.
5 PM

Running (Africa) 48:00 [1] 6.7 mi (7:10 / mi)

Legs felt tired at the start and I didn't feel too good. After about 10 minutes, I felt great! It was nice and warm out and I thoroughly enjoyed running in the "African Safari" (as coined by Adam). Saw Dibaba in the window on the way back.
