Running (Warm-up & Warm-down) 57:25 [2] 7.35 mi (7:49 / mi)
slept:6.5

~20min warm-up (~2.5mi). Warm-down = 37:25, 4.85mi. Stopped after 15min on the warm-down to chat, then continued along the Puget Sound and up the road hill to Fauntleroy Way where I proceeded to run down to the south parking lot at tempo pace for 1k. Felt really good considering I just raced 13 seconds off my personal best.
10 AM

Running race (Sundodger 8k) 26:50 [5] 5.0 mi (5:22 / mi)

Splits = 5:20, 10:38, 16:00, 21:31, 26:50. (5:20, 5:18, 5:22, 5:31, 5:19)
First mile felt slow (as expected), but I was pleased to hear that I hit my planned time exactly. Same with mile 2; except for the feeling easy part. It felt like it got hard right away (probably due to the uphill portion). I was happy to hear my time at the 3rd mile (right on pace). The 4th mile I slowed down with the guys around me on the uphill portion. I wasn't happy anymore because I knew I fell way off pace. Once I got to the start finish area (before mile 4), I started picking people off again and simply tried to hold on for sub-27. Goal for this race was 26:48 since Galen Rupp ran that yesterday in the 10k. I was happy nonetheless since my training has been mediocre all year. Time to pick it up!

Running (Camelot Loop) 23:00 [1] 3.3 mi (6:58 / mi)
slept:7.6

Ate 2 donuts at school today (subbed for von Doehren). Ran Camelot Loop super slow due to bloated stomach. Threw in a 100m surge towards the end and felt great! 15 minute ice bath + sauna afterwards.

Running (The West Fenwick Workout) 57:22 [5] 9.0 mi (6:22 / mi)
slept:7.2

Did not leave the house yesterday. Cleaned out my system in the bathroom as a result of dreading this ridiculous workout. I thought out I went out conservatively, but I guess not. I tried playing mental games, but they just don't work when you get to the 2nd half of the hill intervals; ridiculous! I seriously thought I was going to go into cardiac arrest after the last hill repeat and on the way back up Dead Man's Hill. Workout = 16 x 400m, 4 on grass, 4 on hills, 4 on grass, 4 on hills. Splits = ~80-76 on grass, 85 on hills? I don't remember! I still feel like death is near! 22:02 for the whole workout (maybe subtract 20 seconds from this time as I was collecting myself). While there are 4 parts to this workout, it's really 6 parts; the run there, the 4 stated parts, and the run back. I ran there 2.6mi in 16:04, and back (2.4mi in 19:16).
