Legs felt pretty good for the first few miles and I kept it very easy. As I started to pick up the pace, some guy pulled out of a gas station and almost hit me. I couldn't get out of the way but he managed to stop and I didn't get hit. I think that triggered something in my left upper hamstring because I had to slow way down afterwards and actually stop to stretch. Some lady was driving on a sidewalk soon after and coming right at me. She drove off the curb about 50-100 feet in front of me, but it was still a little scary. Then I saw the rail road crossing signs coming down. I saw that it was a Burlington Northern, so I sped up, but then decided to stop because it was going to be a close call, and perhaps the guy and lady were trying to slow me down.
