Running (St. Patrick + Meeker) 1:07:05 9.7 mi (6:55 / mi)
Left ischium is bothering me again. Didn't feel smooth on the run. After 43:30, I did a 1mi "time trial" on the first mile of the TJ time trial course on Frager. I ran straight into it and quickly slowed down; not even 200m into it. Ended up running 5:28, which left me gasping for air and on my knees at the end. It didn't help that I had to defecate almost immediately into the time trial. Are my days of ripping off sub-5 minute miles whenever I want, even when I feel awful, a thing of the past? I don't want to look back on myself 10-20 years from now and regret not pushing myself more and doing more to prevent injuries; but it's hard to balance work, running and family.
Running (Cemetery, BPA, S. Briar) 1:24:05 11.88 mi (7:05 / mi) slept:7.1
Ran to Cemetery Road, west on 320th, around the mall, up to the BPA Trail, north on Pacific Highway, east on 288th, Sweet Briar and back to TJ. Had 2 back-to-back planning periods again. Left groin area bothered me a little the first 20min. Felt good the rest of the way.
