Note

I am very behind with my attackpoint log, trying to get it updated as have most things on my watch.
Generally got a bit fed up of orienteering after the British middles weekend - Mainly frustrated by the logistics of split starts, long walks to start and finish and the general challenges of both of us trying to orienteering with the kids still being a bit young. Fin can go out on his own now but can't cope with the distances if it's long walks on top of the course.
Also managed to take a heavy fall onto my knees at the start kite of the British middles (fell over a root while running and looking at my map). They are ok to run on but right knee still painful if something catches it, several weeks later. Finally, I'm also feeling generally sluggish when running - am trying to top up my iron as think it might be a bit low. Not quite the orienteering season I'd hoped for!
On the positive side, I joined the gym last week and booked a 'deep dives' session, which was great. I lucked out with a lovely trainer who does weight training seriously herself, has set me a programme and is showing me technique this week. Feel like I have a personal trainer for the week! Also have massive DOMS of course! This is just the local council gym which reopened a few months ago and is 10 mins walk from the house so I've no excuses for not getting there.
And it's only about 8 weeks until O ringen, so I probably need to start looking at some Swedish maps.
