started fast enough, and didn't push enough inbetween. Tried to force on the 5th lap, basically concentrated on the cadence to keep it up- worked well. Really pushed the last one, tried to increase the speed along the 500m. Good training after a boring day at the lab...

Orienteering race 39:18 [4] 3.7 km (10:37 / km) +130m 9:02 / km

BeOb Relay. M and I started in the 2 leg relay. I could go as 2nd, just 5 seconds behind...
Already made a mistake to the first control, so some other teams passed me.
But could get back to them on the way to the 2nd control.
Saw nobody on my 3rd and 4th, but they were around at the 5th.
We did the 6th together and finally got away on the way to number 7 (was pretty long and easy, and I just felt good running).
Finally I got in 2nd. The guy being first was about 9' faster, I definitely can't keep up with a successful H16 runner... Was great weather up there and loved the orienteering... =)

Orienteering race 1:12:57 [3] 5.3 km (13:46 / km) +220m 11:24 / km

3 big mistakes: #7 actually was just right, but had the wrong control number in my mind. Stupidly enough I didn't check, so I left up the hill thinking I was too low, finally getting back to where I had started, being pretty sure that it was right, looking at the control description and realising it had been my control... 5' mistakes for just not being concentrated...

#8 route choice not perfect. stayed on the road for too long, went too low therefor and had to climb up the hill again... wasn't really carefully thinking that route choice through...

#10 acutally it knew it might be tricky. just didn't watch the compass closely enough and got way too low. had again to climb up again, maybe lost 3-4'

The rest was ok. Went very carefully in the rocky parts in the forest, but managed to really see things and could relocate very quickly. I didn't make any mistakes there, but wasn't really fast...

There was a beautiful view down on the lake and hills close to where I grew up, but the terrain was not my style. It is beautiful as well, but I love it runable, disliking having to nearly climb...

Orienteering race 31:56 [3] 4.0 km (7:59 / km) +125m 6:54 / km

pretty clean race, a few seconds lost due to being hesitant. But most of it was just really great orienteering. loved it!!
