It was snowing pretty heavily this morning, so the most logical thing is to skip work and go out into it. It was great. I love running in a snowstorm. Almost better than skiing in a snow storm. Naturally it was a tad slow and I was soaking wet, but still, great. And yes, then eventually I did go into work.

And then I thought, heck, I'm not doing anything this evening, let's go out again! And so I did. The deep snow made it progressively slower and hard work, but the trails were 100% deserted except for the jerkwad couple and their dog on the Hawrelak bridge which is completely not an off-leash area.
In fact, according to the City website, a large portion of the area is not off-leash area. Granted, the map on the website is highly mis-leading when compared to the signs out in the real world. I think most dog owners would have a heart attack if their precious "dog beach" was taken away. However, the bridge has NEVER been an off-leash area, nor has any area on that side of the river to the north of where the bridge ends. This park infuriates me more than most, and were it not for the fact that I have a lot of gear that says Fast Trax, I'd lip off every single one of them.
