Yesterday I really didn't get any chance to train yesterday. I'm teaching a class in sport psychology (whose idea was THAT?) so I spent a long time doing some final preparations and doing as do and trying to come up with completely original activities to do, which is a wildly time consuming and frustrating process.

In any case, I managed to get up a little little early and go for a morning run before breakfast, which was good because I won't have any more time today to do any more training. Better a little training than no training, right? RIGHT?

Pleasant evening night ski, but didn't have much time for much. A little bit of wet new snow meant it was hard work. Every now and then when I'm skiing at night I see this other guy who is actually quite a bit faster than me that's skiing around and talking to someone on some sort of bluetooth headset. So I can just hear him coming either towards or behind me, its kind of weird. At first I thought he was yelling at me, but he just blazes by and keeps going blah blah blah blah blah. A little odd, in my opinion.

A nice long ski on a nice day around Ladun Maija trails. Relatively good conditions, though its quite warm so the conditions are deteriorating and I suspect this will be one of the last times this year I will be willing to use my good skis, by next weekend I think I'll probably use my rock skis just to be safe. Tons and tons of people out too, Finns sure do like their skiing!

A first little tempo run in a while around the Jyvasjarvi. The weather was kind of snow/rain/wet/etc., so it was pleasant while running but not so pleasant once the tempo was over and I had to do the cool-down, which was a rapid, rapid cool-down. Its a shame I really didn't get to do as many tempo runs over the winter, I really appreciated that last year, although its hard to know what kind of fitness I actually gained from it. But still, no time to moan about that, now that I can run better without knee pain, I might as well just keep plugging away at it!

Still a bit more snow remaining, though, so I might as well get in as much skiing as I can, delay ruining my legs as long as possible.

Mosey'd over to Laajavuori for a tour there. First did the Kuntolenkki which is a super nice loop that's around 8k long, and is in great condition. Then I did the vuorenlenkki, which was about 6k and is also in great condition. Great conditions for everyone! Yay!
