Team Jonesy. Guess he won't need a long walk tonight.

Route:
Went south first, then north and finished with east. Getting much better at reading the map in regards to the topo lines - not going up the wrong spur, etc.

Hot and lots of hills. I've always hated hills. Definitely a 5 despite not running.

I have to determine the answer to the question of whether you stay 'up' in the hills and get the high ones, and then go down and loop around to get the low ones rather than zigzag up and down the hills.

But it was lots of fun.

It will be interesting to see if I get poison ivy. One large one went right between my legs - could be ugly.

R took a good fall right on his coccyx. Made a great 'whump' noise too. I went down maybe 3 times.

Main wildlife was lots of frogs jumping around out there.

Worst bit of orienteering was going around on the creek side of the swamp. should have gone around the other way. On the other hand, it was my first time at this park. Next time I'll know.

Enjoyed seeing others on the course and guessing which routes they took.

Jonesy was given a bath to transform him from swamp-doggy prior to E returning from Canada.

Ended up in second for the score-O. All the usual studs did adventure running or were off on vacation.

Lots of cute tiny (1 cm) frogs all over after the various rains. Hope that means that it will be a low mosquito season...
