Aspen grove event, some small mistakes, especially in the beginning in the rogaine section... then some small naivigating mistakes later on, always when close to the control.

training on aspen grove map with meg, needed lots of time to get used to map again.... eeekk rusty o skills!!!!

training on meadow creek map. Running and choosing different legs in a nice technical area with thomas, magnus, meg, jason, and mandy.

Biking 20:00 [3]
biked to muna's and back, i was a bit late so i biked pretty fast there, and reasonably fast back... its downhill :) twas fun, nice weather!

Wednesday Apr 16

Running 38:00 [3]
running warm up down to jericho and around looking for a good circuit to run. then run back for warm down.
Intervals 30:00 [5]
5 approx 3 min circuits in jericho park with around 1.5-2 min rest in between, up a hill at first, and through some tall grass and such, then along a trail, cutting back down to where we started. Then did 6 10sec sprints on gravel trail near the pond, with joggin in between.

Wet, long wet, quite physically challenging (hills!), but in an area i know quite well (near my school). It was alot of fun, didn't feel so good at the beginning (ate alot of hot cross buns), but then started to feel not bad, and ran pretty fast.

Sun run, felt ok, but maybe could have pushed it harder espcially in the middle part.
Took splits, but i think some of the markers were slightly off (# 7 specifically, and the last k felt rather long).
KM 1 = 4:29:39

KM 3 = 5:05:22
KM 4 = 4:45:16
KM 5 = 5:09:96
KM 6 = 4:58:44
KM 7-9 = aprox 4.55
KM 10 = 5:02:03

Hope to learn how to push myself more... hope i can gradually go faster, with the intent of eventually (2 year kinda plan) of beating 45.

running with thomas, up to 16th along dunbar, then down to bleinheim and back home. Comfortable pace (more comfortable fo him i am sure).

Tuesday Apr 8

Running 27:00 [3]
run through woods, then along 33rd to dunbar park.
after - 5 min run home

daylight savings is on, so now i can run in the woods at later times :)
Intervals 8:00 [5]
sprints across the field at dunbar park. then some exercises and stretching in between every 2. did 8 approx 30 seconds each... then shirt rest.

Orienteering 34:00 [5]
wet 25, Jericho Park. Pouring rain! 3 loops each 1.5 km long. Ended up in a few brambly dead ends and lost some time through that. We were using the SI system. Results at www.interchange.ubc.ca/tnnipen/WET25.htm

orienteering at seymore demonstration forest. Map is a "draft" ie... the controls may or may not be kinda where the map says...
Had fun anyway... lost quite a bit of time on control #22, and some other slightly smaller mistakes (relative to the map...)

setting up controls with thomas in stanley park... probably more time than this, not really sure, but drove around to most then went in. then picked them up alot later (dark)... with thomas and magnus who i somehow dragged into my situation. very thankfull....

30 laps swimming, about half front crawl half breast stroke. took a break near the beginning.

weight room, usual stuff...

running with my dad for 30 mins before going to weight room. then 5 mins back from the weight room. not going that fast
