Wet at jericho, leg felt a bit tense at first, but then it relaxed. Ran ok, but not that fast, rained pretty hard for some of it.

mostly breast stroke, and quite a bit of front crawl. 20 laps

stretching, 7 mins on rowing machine, weights, some exercises (core), more stretching. Felt some pain in ankle....

Swiming at ubc with sam. Mostly breastroke, some front crawl. Taking a few days off from running to let my leg fix itself.

setting and picking up controls in pacific spirit park. leg hurt a bit, but was ok.

orienteering training at lighthouse park with meg and thomas. Did a bit of a course, some relocation and map reading exercises.

Wet #22 at musqueem. Leg hurt a bit, made a mistake at #4.. map a bit wrong, and lost marta... damn.

swiming with cath at ubc, i have a cold, and the physio told me not to run on my calf muscle, so biking and swiming for a few days for me....

Ran with marg to jericho, reasonably slow. in the sand to pacific spirit park. Then went up a hill to 4th as 2 2 min intervals. then ran faster back on a loop through the park, did some lampost sprints on the way back. Didn't feel too good, and my leg hurt.

WET 21 in Vanier Park / Kitsilano Beach Park. Score-O with 2 memory controls.

Sunday Mar 9

Orienteering 35:00 [4]
Determinator at cresent park. Mass start, and i wasn't ready, so i ran without my compass, there were a few times a bearing might have been a good route choice, but i couldn't really do that. Had alot of fun (especially after my fingers thawed out), and made only small mistakes.

cross country ski-o at cypress. rented skate skiis... it was hard to go up hills, but i had fun.

more skiing before and after... tried to learn ok form... still can't keep skating on hills (at least if they are steep).

Friday Mar 7

20 laps in the ubc pool. Saw the physio today and she told me not to run today as i have strained my gastrocnemius and soleus. Strecthed it out beforehand.

Wednesday Mar 5

Sand intervals along the beach, 3 min, 1.5 min rest, 2 min, 1 min rest, 1 min, .5 in rest. 4 times. left calf hurt a bit. good training!

warm up, cool down, some stretching and a few running exercises.

Monday Mar 3

Wet near childrens hospital. Pulled ahead of group, but then made a 1min mistake, going into the wrong nook of the building (#%$%) and lost the lead (well obviously ted and thomas were 8 mins ahead) but i managed to get ahead of the group that is my pace again, but not by much. Lots of fun!

picked up a few controls with ted and thomas.

Cross country ski 2:50:00 [3]
X-country ski rogaine, was with erica the first half, then split up. Tried pretty hard, reasonably easy orienteering but alot of fun.

cross country skiing at sun peaks, first time i have cross country skied since well i can't quite remeber... a long time ago. Was alot of fun!
Orienteering 2:00:00 [3]
orienteering in kamloops, lots of steep hills (valleys)had to walk up some of them. Good orienteering training, but made some bad mistakes, but had some good legs too.
