skate ski with magnus looking at ski trails that were somewhat skiable and looking at our trail map/attempt at a ski-o map.... since there is hardly any snow it is not worth making it a good ski-o map this year, but maybe next year!

went downhill skiing with my brother today, since there was hardly any snow for X-C skiing... mount timothy is a bit higher so it was ok. Started to feel more tired and sick, cold is progessively moving into my chest... as they always do!!!!

1 short 2.5 km course on knife creek, making sure to use my compass. Then several bearing legs... trying to make myself trust the compass and run smoothly (it will take some time...)

run with magnus, up from british properties to hollyburn lodge and back down... nice trails, some pretty steep stuff. My left foot hurt more though, the top of it has been hurting (sort of when I lift my big toe) since my run on sunday. Its been feeling ok, not something that would stop me from running... but today it was a bit more painful and some pain in my shin, and now the tendon running along the top seems to be able to make that creaky noise when I wiggle my big toe. Not sure what it is, may seen someone about it when stuff is open again... ;)

warm up, along side of road, then rough trails down by river towards wreck beach.

4 times up wreck beach stair, magnus would dissapear ahead of me almost immediately. I tried to not lean over and breathe well... slower on the last one, legs started to feel like jelly.

run around buntzen lake, very steep at the beginning, then downhill, then undulating on the way back near the lake. Stopped to look at the view a few times, and explore the old powerhouses at the end of the lake down by the ocean.

3:08, 3:04, 3:00, 3:02, then 2 shorter ones at 1:50 (slightly uphill), 1:30 (slightly downhill). Bowels felt awful by partway through the third interval.... I cannot figure out what triggers it (food allergy, the jostling??), it acted up a bit during the WET yesterday, but today it was agony. I originally intended to do a few more... but cut back.

warm down. Pretty in the woods with all the snow, only stuck to some places on the trail...

skate skiing, with headlamp at night... nicely groomed, but not fast snow. Some big uphills, and some steep downhills too.
