Orienteering 17:26 [3]

Orienteering training in Princess park. Started out a bit wussy, since I was trying not to get my feet wet but eventually gave up on the second river crossing. Got a bit better flow by the second half, but still not super fast.

Orienteering 16:19 [4]

2nd training down near the north Vancouver MEC. Fun course, sometimes on the simpler side but since going fast I still made a little mistake in the middle. We mass started and Nate and Kristian got ahead, but Ian dropped off at one point. We ran near each other for a bit, and then I got ahead and tried to stay ahead.

Fun training at PNE, felt like I started to get proper flow and good running speed. One small error approaching a control from a bad direction after running past the right gap, and another hesitation where the vegetation was different than mapped. Other than that pretty good...

Run on the trails above M+A's house, found lots of open areas with a decent amount of details (including a few random rocks) that makes me wish even more we would map this hillside despite its steepness. Also took several cuts in the open areas, hitting random bike trails and following them for a bit. Also found several tiny trails, including one that seemed to lead to a dilapidated camp of some sort...

Stretching/exercises 15:00 [1]

Some slow stretchy yoga and 10 minutes of intense core moving from one exercise to the next every minute. Also, 2 minutes of wall sit.

Run with Kristian. Down along wreck beach (and a scramble up to the sand cliffs on a random trail), then along Admiralty and back up to Acadia (so much construction :(.

Up and down a small rugged hill in QE with Graeme. About 20-30 seconds up... bit slower to get down trying not to slip. Continuous run, turning around once we hit the bottom (but pushed on the up, and recovered somewhat on the down). Did one less than Graeme, since he lapped me ;)

Intervals 10:00 [4]

6 times ~1:40 loop on the grass around the lower lake on QE. Slowly dropping off Graeme, but he stayed close to the lake on the far side so I could cut a bit of distance near the end and not be too far behind.
