Pretty good start, a few wibbles in the middle section of the course - should have gone right out to the trail, as then I tried to cut and got behind an out of bounds area and ended up going straight... bad route, so lost time on that. Then continued to have problems staying on the route I mean to take on the next longer leg, wandering up the hill before I should have.
Gilles suggestion of 6 times 500m. Never done 500m... feels like an odd distance on the track for some reason.
With Gilles way ahead, and Adrian ahead (until his tummy gave out), and Catherine right behind.
Rests where we walk/jogged back 100m. Warm down around the track, and silly walks.
