Saturday Jun 7

Event: QBIII

Running long (Tempo) 1:13:15 [5]12.5 km (5:52 / km)
slept:3.5 shoes: New Balance
Kelly's Plains. Ran out the first 6.25km in 29:15 but then had to change the tempo's I was sort of doing on the way out, which was a jog then run hard between two distinctive objects to a walk then run, because I was sort of dizzy and not feeling to good. My first thought was dehydration because I hadn't had much to drink and I'd just had some hot chips beforehand which didn't help, but then it was probably partly more tiredness from my lack of sleep last night. Was intensity 5 because of how I feeling, didn't really have a lot to do with the amount of effort I put in, because I didn't put in a lot for fear of getting injured, etc, cause of sore muscles and dizziness

Friday Jun 6

Running hills (Arbouretum) 47 [3]0.19 km (4:07 / km) +14m 3:01 / km
shoes: New Balance
On the way home I decided to do one of my hill sprints, and I tell you it is a heap harder to do with a pretty heavy bag on your back, while wearing school clothes.
Cycling (Kelly's Plains) 18:35 [3]6.1 km (3:03 / km)
shoes: Old Road Bike

Thursday Jun 5

Note
(rest day)
Having another rest day today because I had eistedford. It was the compositions section in which I came equal first with two other. Yeah shock to me too. I was heaps surprised cause there was an awesome pianist piece and clarinet, piano piece which I drew with. I was able to beat one of my friends who is a heaps good all round musician. I don't know how this happened cause I didn't think my piece was that good after hearing the one before me. Big Shock, but cool I spose.
C • Well congratulations on tha... 5

Wednesday Jun 4

Running (Cross Country) 19:18 [4]5 km (3:52 / km)
shoes: New Balance
I was pleased with this pb, cause it shows my training is paying off and that I can improve even when the conditions aren't perfect (the ground was a bit slippery from recent rains). I am looking forward to how much I improve in two weeks time, because next week I am only going to do a shorter run because I will be tapering off for regional cross country on friday. I was feeling slightly dizzy at the end of this run, proberly from lack of water or food throughout the rest of today.
Running warm up/down 15 [2]

Was ment to have Kung Fu and Basketball but I have eistedford for not going to kung fu and we have a bye in basketball anyway

Walk/Jog/Stretch warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: New Balance
Kung Fu 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: New Balance
Basketball (MA Grade) 40:00 [4]
shoes: New Balance
Lost by just a couple of points I think but not really sure how much cause with about 45sec to go I got a good head butt in the nose which made it bleed like crazy so I didn't really get to pay much attation to the game after that, partly cause I couldn't see to much with the amount of tissues. Some people were wondering if it was broken cause of the amount of blood but I don't think it is cause it isn't crooked, bit swollen though. Still really sore and only just stopped bleeding. I think the intensity at the end was about 5 but not for the rest of the game.

Sunday Jun 1

Orienteering race (Blue Hole, Short Red Part) 35:00 [4]*** 4.5 km (7:47 / km) +145m 6:42 / km
11c shoes: $40 O'Shoes
This Long Red Course was made up of the Short and Micro Red Courses with a map change in the middle. I was really happy with how I was going for the Short Red (4.5km, 145m climb) and I got to the map change in 35min but I really didn't quite get many great in the Micro (2km, 80m climb), which shows with my slower time for that part. I started off going to #11 cause I only read one of the 1's on the map but realised when I'd pretty much made it there, this cost me a couple of minutes and I didn't get much better over running some and getting confused on #9. Even with my mistakes I think I still may have had the fastest time, not sure though and I was happy with the way I was running.
Orienteering race (Blue Hole,Mircro Red Part) 36:00 [4]**** 2 km (18:00 / km) +80m 15:00 / km
11c shoes: $40 O'Shoes
Really Disappointing after my good start. I think I just lost a lot of my momentum and maybe also it was a bit more technical and maybe I wasn't in the right frame of mind with some of my stupid mistakes.
