Sunday May 4

Running warm up/down (warm up) 15:00 [3] 2 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: asics something gel something
warm up, jogged for about 1km ( i just measured that with a unfolded paperclip :P) then on the way back sprinted to a tree, then jogged to the next, etc. then sidesteppies (for coach josh) forwards backwards and grapevine.

i got a stitch! only on the way back. quite an owie one.

then stretched for about five minutes and jogged back to where the course started.

Orienteering (old course) 45:00 [3] ** 5.4 km (8:20 / km)
shoes: asics something gel something
just a easy run around an old orange 1 course on the pinnacle.

despite my hardcore warmup, i still had a stitch the whole way around! and i only ate half a banana and half a glass of bluethingamagic before i went out! rarrrr whyyyy?

oh and i should be made to quit orienteering for the stuppiido mistako i made at number 13! i don't know how it happened though. anyway.

i think i'll take up lawn bowls.

C • Quit? Never! 1
Running warm up/down (warm down) 10:00 [2]
just some jogging and stretching.

i'm sore now! and colddd brrrr think i'll go and shower.

Saturday May 3

Ballet (Limber + Barre class) 1:20:00 [4]
shoes: ballet shoes!
2 hour ballet class, with guest teacher Miss Janice.

owwww. we did barre for about half of it, then limber for the rest. oh the paiiiin. she was all into holding stretches for 4 minutes, which is a long time sitting in the splits if you can't do the splits.

buttt. it doesn't hurt. yet.
Orienteering race (saturday series) 43:00 [3] ** 5.9 km (7:17 / km) +50m 7:00 / km
shoes: asics something gel something
weston park O, first saturday series.

pretty good, but legs felt first like jelly and then like concrete (because of ballet)

and i forgot to slow down coming out of the clearings into the bush so i had to make myself slow down and pinpoint my location. which took a little bit.

but running was pretty okay, once i had warmed up. a little bit of stitch, cos i ate straight after ballet and went straight to O.

and tested out my steroids. can't tell if they made a difference :P

funnnn did some unicyling.
Note
had a hot - cold - hot - cold - hot - cold shower. hope that it makes me less sore tomorrow. yes?
Note
starting to hurt now...

Friday May 2

Running tempo (sprint!!) 5:00 [5] *****
(rest day) shoes: converse!
SPRINT from bus stop number five to bakers delight and back again!!

and i didn't even miss the bus :P

(in other news, today was a rest day)

Thursday May 1

Running (Hill intervals) 30:00 [4]
shoes: asics something gel something
another 6:30am run, not as cold because of cloud cover. i wore an odd assortment of garments anyway, as i figured no (sane) person would be over there so early.

anyway, i ran from my house, around the pinnacle to the steps side, up the steps side, down the opposite side, back up the same way, rest.
down the side 90degrees to the steps, up again, rest.
repeat X 6

the rests were about 30seconds, stretch a bit and stop puffffing. rarr so tiring.

i need to practise this.

oh and coach grant, i got a bit dizzy at the top of the hill. does this mean i should eat something before i go out (a banana and some steroids (blue powerade)?)

shoes: asics something gel something
2 laps of the scotty 3km timetrial.

hurrah! return to training in the morning.

freeeezing, i wore a thermal the whole way round and didn't get hot.

the second lap was way easier, maybe because i'd warmed up a bit?

it was funnn.
