Sunday Jun 22

Orienteering race (sunday series) 1:17:45 [3] *** 5.6 km (13:53 / km)
shoes: o shoes
this was fun! and even though the time was bad, i wasn't EXTREMELY unhappy with my run.

number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 were good. number 6 i made a little error - i came the long way around the road and up the gully and i got pulled out of the gully too soon and ended up at the wrong rock. but realised and found it fine.

number 7 was ok..number 8 EXTREMO slow howw thick was it??!?!! i went straight(ish) which was soo silly. but came out at the right point and got it.

then number 9 was so fun and number 10 was ok(ish) too. almost mucked it up. number 11 was soo silly because i could see it the whole way across the open but didn't know if it was my control!! so i kind of went slowly but it was. gahh i could have run fast.

number 12 was pretty average. went in at the right point, slow up the hill and then got stuck on the bundle of rocks below my rock. and confused. but i figured it out after a moments thought.

number 13 my map had worn out!! so i had no features on it!! and so i just took a kind of dodge bearing and set off. i was a bit high so i thought about it and went down. number 14 was good, crosschecked well cos i didn't want to get sucked into wandering.

then number 15!! gahh!! so silly. i set off in the right direction but then saw a big clump of rocks and assumed it was mine when it wasn't! but i saw the clearing below it and figured out that i was one too far across and ran across to it. then 16 fine and home.

bit dodge. need to focus on reading the map the whole way to the control..and predicting stuff.

my calves are still killing!! vazdog gave me an awesome (painful) massage but they still hurt. i can't climb stairs coordinately.

what else? ohh too many trees today. i'm all scratched up. hardcorestyle.

Note
PAUL AND I ARE SOUL-ORIENTEERS!! (like soul-sistas but orienteeringey:P)

we did exactly the same time!!! 77:45 haha. long time. but it's ok cos we did it exactly the same.

in othernews, i am soo scratched up!! a million on my arms and legs and even on my tummy :( i really need to look where i'm going and stop getting stuck in thickets. jeez i'm glad it's winter. long pants :)
Note
CALVES KILLING

working on port de bras today, it was funn and relaxing.
Ballet (saturday majors) 1:00:00 [3]

Orienteering race (saturday series) 49:00 [3] 5 km (9:48 / km)
shoes: asics something gel something
really awful and slow and mistakey and falley over.

actually it wasn't too mistakey..i made a little mistake on 1 (a bit too high but only a few seconds) then on number 3 it took me ages cos i read the map wrong. umm all okk but i walked up the entire hill to number 8 cos my calves were killing!! ahhh! then i made a mistake on 9, came down close to ten, then back up, then it was all okkk. but soo slow. and i counted, i fell over 5 times! the first time was the worst. and i twisted my ankle but it feels fine now...

nottt happy jan i can run faster than that!!
Note
why am i so slow?!!?!! ahhhh!!!

Friday Jun 20

Skipping (intense skipping!!) 10:00 [4]
shoes: bare feet
jeez 10 minutes skipping is tiring :P

and not even non-stop cos i kept getting caught on the rope!! think i'll have to get a longer one.

but on the plus side, this pink one matched my pink pants!!

the skipping thing was cos it's dark and cold outside and i couldn't think of anything else to do....

i'll do some more and get back to you...

Tuesday Jun 17

had breakfast at dobinsons :) might ride the bike at erin's again :P we're going to be mirror-ing, as we have a key today :D

C • glasses 8
Note
(rest day)
would you like to know why my eyes were screwed up!!!!?!!?!?

AHH i am such a SILLYHEAD.

so this morning, i thought i dropped my old contact so i got a new one and put it in. didn't really settle, was pretty blurry. when i covered my other eye it settled and i could see but everything was smallmifyed and really clear.

so i went around like this all day, vv blurry, big headache.

i got home and took that side of contact out.

then decided it'd try again...

i went to my contacts case and took out the contact.....

and two contacts came out!!!!

it turns out! i had put in one, and not dropped it and put a new one over the top!!! two contacts in one eye!! ahh how is that possible!!

(only if you're me, evidently)

it's all good in the hood now.

gahhhhhh.

Monday Jun 16

Exercise Bike (erin's house) 15:00 [4]
shoes: converse!
out went the rest day idea...

was at erin's house to decorate imo's mirror but her garage was locked and the only person with a key was her papa who wasn't going to get home until 8:30pm!!

so we made some cheese puff pastry things and while they were cooking i did 15 minutes hard on their exercise bike!! gahh burning quads much! but i tried to push it really hard anyway...

good fun..it went from hard to easy to hard in stages.
Exercise Bike warm up/down (warm down) 4:00 [2]
