Event: Hunter Region Schools Championships
 
orienteering race 36:07 [5] 3.3 km (10:57 / km)
mass screw up on one control ... went from 7 to almost 10 in some real confusing tracks just didnt check the directiong i should hav been going in
but apart from that felt pretty good
orienteering race 42:36 [4]
45 minute score course
was extremely tough to get going on this one and probably not very good route choice .. some big hills at the begining hurt alot (plus two mistakes didnt really help)

bit of advice can of sunkist and then warm down dont go to well together

felt pretty slow to start with so we had to go pretty hard at the end but still felt alright cept calves are extremely tight .. must work on that ..

rather eventfull day ... it all started on the way to school today .. i drove nd went to get petrol and there was a lady trying to get out the ENTRY to the petrol station blocking my way in not happy then ....... got to the bypass and the lights were banked up heaps finnally got round them and the traffic was still heaps choked up was in the right hand lane (so i could turn and go up oakdale road to pick up sam ) and was completly stopped turns out there was a heaps bad accident ... the ambulance went passed but it was all good the other lane got out off the way ... me nd mia decided we would go the long way to get sam coz they werent letting anyone turn right ....so finally some nice person let me over into the left lane then the fire engine came !! and it was V scary having to try nd move over again for it to go through ...... but anyways finally got to school just before the bell and it was garbage day in hamilton so there was zero parking spaces ....

then i did my bio test which was all good nd soon i have to go all the way back into new lambton for a joyfull hour and a half of maths tutoring!!!!

sunset run along the beach ha ha (pitty the sun doesnt actually set over the beach) only just made it under the 30 mins like i wanted to ..
pulled out dads old heart rate monitor .. pretty stone age doesnt tell your max or average only lets u set upper and lower limits and beeps really annoyingly if ur outside them .. any ideas round about whats i should be setting them at ????? (70-85%MHR ..getting the PE out lol ) i have no idea?!!

pretty sure fate was telling me not to go out today and to stay home and study ... took a stick to the knee and by to i mean IN .. through the strapping tape and everything an into my leg ..! and also fell over ...
was pretty dodge actually just found it heaps hard to get going and was realy hesitent on all of them pretty much just not a good one .. guess it was just one of those days.. oooh well theres always next time !!

fairly easy some of the hills were fair tough but still only a 3 ..
went over the bridge to blackies ( nearlly ran into the boom gate thingo at the bridge coz wasnt paying attention to the fact that it was opening ... so had to sit and wait for the boats to go through ... took that time of the ride though) then came back and went under the bridge and out to the end of swansea .. was good fun i guess lol (cept for nearlly falling of twice lol still dont know wat i did)

didnt get home till after it was dark nd wasnt man enough to go running by myself in the dark.... think it was a good thing to coz i was talking to a friend that lives down the road nd she said she got followed home buy a guy in a van the other day (she said it was the same guy that use to drive past us at the bus stop like 4 or 5 times every morning).... think ill be running with the boys from now on !!

went to sams after school so no training ... GOD if this thing looks like this wext week i give permission for use to go off at me ..
think im nearlly better now yay!! oooo and i saw whales again this arvo at bar beach teh he .... em and sam thought i was lying but they eventually saw them to :)


also we had a BIG photo at school today ... didnt think it was possible to put 600 people on one of those metal frame work things that they take photos on lol but they did nd i was on the third from the top row yew lol
felt sorry for the shortest girls though .. they had to sit on planks of wood on the ground!!

stretch nd strenghty stuff had to improvise as big W at charlestown as well as mount hutton have sold out of the bike wind trainer things.(even went looking for a skipping rope as somthing to do ...must of thrown them out a while ago )

officially hating rain again ... seriously dont think it stopped at all today... (dont think i hav ever seen so many tense people in one place before as there was at school today ... every time the rain got even slightly heavier everyone went freaked out and was like ahhhh the cars... no flooding today so they were all ok, but there is always tomoro..)
also kinda glad i missed out on getting a ticket for the school dance tonight (its a long way from here to newcastle panters and in the rain)

god thats all a load of crap sorry guys (trying to advoid the homework)

felt pretty shocking all day and to top it off had a english exam and got part of my PD/H/PE mark back (eeeeeeek) but didnt want to rest completely 2 days in a row so mum suggested just going for a walk... got maybe 10 mins down the road and remembered that there has been another attempted abduction round these parts the other day so took alot of convincing (of myself) to keep going..ran the last 10 minutes but didnt think that it was worthy enough for its own session felt alright ish think it was good to get the legs going.

MTB orienteering race 1:48:30 [4] 12.8 km (8:29 / km)
fist time so was fairly freaked out but managed alright bit slow though .... screwed up a control early on so that sorta caused me to loose confidence but got it back as the course went on... lots of nice pedal scratches on the legs but DIDNT FALL OFF !! was heaps fun though ill go back. think thats all

ooo forgot to mention the bit about not reading the map well enough (the line covered it a bit to which didnt help) at the very end and found myself climbing an embankment which was rather high lady that was with me got up fine but i got stuck and couldnt grip enought to pull both me and the bike up then along came some gun looking lady running up behind me carrying her bike and pushed my bike up for me .... all i could manage was a very embarrassed sorry ........ how much of a retart am i
