Tuesday Feb 28

elliptical hills 40:00 [4] 4.25 mi (9:24 / mi)
slept:8.0 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
500 cal.

Sunday Feb 26

soccer (indoor) 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: sambas
I should probably stop playing soccer for a little while; my right groin has been overstretched a few too many times recently.

Saturday Feb 25

running (road) 33:00 [2] 4.07 mi (8:06 / mi)
ahr:163 slept:8.5 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
River St. Loop. Started snowing before I got to the BU bridge. Arches felt decent.
soccer (indoor) 45:00 [2]
shoes: sambas

Thursday Feb 23

swimming/DWR 45:00 [2]
slept:6.0 weight:165lbs
40 minutes of DWR followed by some freestyle to give my arms a workout. Legs felt good afterward, though arches have been sore walking around.

Wednesday Feb 22

running (road) 37:27 [3] 4.78 mi (7:49 / mi)
ahr:158 slept:8.0 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
For some reason max hr was 191, which I don't recall ever feeling. Right groin/adductor was tight. Arches felt fine while running, but were sore when I got back.

Tuesday Feb 21

erg 11:00 [3]
shoes: asics gel-landreth II
elliptical 20:00 [2] 1.91 mi (10:27 / mi)
ahr:130 max:144 slept:8.0 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
Pretty tight legs from the soccer on Sunday. As usual, I have no idea how I did crew freshman year, given my pitiful capacity for erging now.

Sunday Feb 19

soccer (indoor) 1:00:00 [1]
slept:8.0 shoes: sambas
some light shooting/trapping practice on the racquetball courts in DuPont with Charlie and Collin.
soccer (indoor) 40:00 [5]
shoes: sambas
indoor game with the grad league against the varsity team. won 3-1, had 1 sweet assist.

Saturday Feb 18

running tempo (treadmill) 11:28 [4] 1.5 mi (7:38 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
running warm up/down (treadmill) 22:30 [2] 2.5 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: asics gel-landreth II
1 mile warmup, 1 mile tempo, .5 mile recovery, .5 mile tempo, 1 mile cooldown.

Wednesday Feb 15

running long (road) 52:16 [2] 6.13 mi (8:31 / mi)
ahr:160 max:171 slept:7.5 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
Longfellow-River St. loop at dusk. Another really nice day, so shorts and t-shirt felt great. Arches were pretty good; right one felt a bit weird towards the end of the run. Quads were fine. Kind of lost my appetite last night/this morning, and the light stomach was a bit disagreeable.

Tuesday Feb 14

running (road) 34:57 [2] 4.07 mi (8:34 / mi)
ahr:156 max:164 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
River St. - Mass Ave. loop at dusk (5:30). Nice weather; still and warm enough for shorts and a t-shirt. No problems from the arches, but quads a little sore.

Sunday Feb 12

soccer (indoor) 45:00 [1]
shoes: sambas

Saturday Feb 11

Event: Baldwin hill training

Orienteering 45:45 [3] *** 3.9 km (11:44 / km) +200m 9:20 / km
ahr:153 max:175 shoes: asics GT-2090
Line-o at Baldwin Hill. Lost contact a couple of times, but mostly it was pretty good. I'm a bit dubious of my climb estimate.
Orienteering 1:38:13 [3] *** 7.2 km (13:38 / km) +300m 11:17 / km
ahr:149 max:173 spiked:8/13c (injured) shoes: asics GT-2090
I pretty much bombed the long legs, but was ok in the detailed areas. Arch started hurting a little early on, then was fine, then gave me more trouble from 9 on. Now it's pretty tight (3:30pm). I wore a new pair of inserts in my shoes, which helped a bit, I think. Aside from that, I was slipping all over the place without studs, but I'm pretty sure those would have bothered my arches even more. Probably should have cut the course short.

Thursday Feb 9

elliptical 1:00:00 [2] 5.7 mi (10:30 / mi)
ahr:140 rhr:53 slept:9.0 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
A mix of inclines/resistances, but mostly 5-10 incline and 1-3 resistance. Aimed for 180 strides/min. Max HR was 179 which must be a fluke.

Monday Feb 6

Sunday Feb 5

soccer (indoor) 45:00 [4]
