Sunday Sep 25

soccer (turf) 1:00:00 [2]
(injured) shoes: adidas predator mania TF
More light soccer with Bexley. Felt the same thing as last time only less severe. Arches felt much better today. Maybe a little workout was good for them after not much activity.

Friday Sep 23

soccer (turf) 1:00:00 [2]
(injured) shoes: adidas predator mania TF
Some light soccer on the turf with Bexley. My arch felt kind of tight from the outset, and at one point I felt something "snap" as if there was a knot that suddenly came undone. It felt a little better after that.

Wednesday Sep 21

running (road) 13:24 [2] 1.68 mi (7:57 / mi)
slept:9.0 (injured) shoes: asics gel-landreth II
Planned to do a loop to the science museum, but by the time I got to the state police building on the other side of the museum my arches were feeling increasingly tight, so I stretched my calves and decided to walk back. Arches had been feeling pretty good just walking around the last few days.

Not sure how to log this time/intensity-wise. Was more intense than a 3 but completely unrelated to running.

Sunday Sep 11

Orienteering 3:32:48 [3] *** 14.7 km (14:29 / km)

Mega control course at pawtuckaway. Arches started hurting around 100 or so, so I skipped from 110 to 138 and skipped 181-finish, walking from 138-180. Arches actually don't feel too bad monday morning, but I think it's about time I acknowledge that they're injured.

THE MEGA - Splits

Saturday Sep 10

Event: 2005 Sprint Series Finals

Orienteering race (sprint) 22:35 [5] **** 2.75 km (8:13 / km) +50m 7:32 / km
spiked:9/12c slept:6.5 shoes: VJ pro I
First sprint. Didn't get much sleep the night before and my legs felt tired all morning leading up to the race. Things didn't change much during the race. I kept with the pack until #7, at which point I tripped and fell and lost contact with the map. Then got stung by yellow jackets at #9 (note, I went perfectly to #8, so the claim that the yellow jackets only got those who overshot it is false) and consequently ran with increasted fervour to #10, winding up a little to the northeast of the control.
Orienteering race (sprint) 23:05 [4] **** 2.69 km (8:35 / km) +80m 7:28 / km
spiked:11/12c shoes: VJ pro I
I guess I didn't eat enough after the first one or something. Took a bad route choice to #4, got passed by something like 10 people, and just died after 6 or so. Got stung again.
Orienteering race (sprint) 20:02 [5] **** 2.89 km (6:56 / km) +75m 6:08 / km
spiked:16/16c shoes: VJ pro I
Started out a bit slower but hung with the pack this time (and it was quite a pack this time). Picked it up a little on the third loop and passed probably 5 people or so.

Round 3 - The Finals! - Splits

Round 1 Men's Heat 1&2 - Splits

Round 2 Men's Heat 1&2 - Splits

Friday Sep 9

treadmill warm up/down 22:00 [2] **** 2.12 mi (10:22 / mi)
slept:8.5 (sick) shoes: asics gel-landreth II
I wanted to stay loose for tomorrow, so I did a short treadmill jog. 2.5 incline. 17 minutes 1:5 pawtuckaway, in a likely area for the sprints. Feeling mostly better.

Thursday Sep 8

treadmill 45:00 [2] **** 4.6 mi (9:47 / mi)
slept:9.0 (sick) shoes: asics gel-landreth II
Have been feeling a little under the weather since yesterday. Attempted to use Daniels' treadmill formula for an 8:45ish pace (6.5 mi/hr, 2.5 incline). I lowered the pace a bit after 25 minutes when I felt like my arches might need it. I definitely shouldn't have played so much soccer last week. 1:5 pawtuckaway map for 34 minutes.

Monday Sep 5

running (road) 44:35 [1] 4.25 mi (10:29 / mi)
slept:9.0 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
Bexley-Simmons-River St.-Mass Ave. with Lori. Legs were tired from all the soccer but loosened up after 10 minutes or so. Arches were tight afterwards when I was stretching my calves.

Sunday Sep 4

soccer (turf) 40:00 [3]
shoes: adidas predator mania TF
Should probably do some lower intensity stuff this week.

Saturday Sep 3

running warm up/down (grass) 5:00 [2]
slept:7.5 shoes: diadora tornates
soccer (grass) 15:00 [5]
shoes: diadora tornates
Grad club vs. Varsity game (won 4-0). I played for maybe the last 25 minutes. Lots of muscle soreness from the workout on thursday. Arch is hinting at being sore :(

Thursday Sep 1

soccer (drill/scrimmage) 1:00:00 [4]
slept:8.0 shoes: adidas predator mania TF
Grad club practice. 2 hr practice, but only logging 1 hr. Probably 20 min at 5 intensity. Slight twinge in right arch while walking around between drills at one point. Not really bothering me afterward.
