Event: West Point

Orienteering race 1:49:57 [3]**** 7.67 km (14:20 / km) +365m 11:35 / km
spiked:10/15c slept:8.0 shoes: VJ pro I
West Point day 1 Red Y. Foggy, raining. Navigated pretty well, with only a couple of overshots, but generally slow running, and not much strength for the uphills.
Orienteering race 28:44 [4]**** 2.9 km (9:54 / km) +100m 8:27 / km
spiked:15/16c shoes: VJ pro I
West Point Sprint. Great course by Peter Gagarin. Unfortunately it involved a hill which I just couldn't do after the morning race. No major mistakes, just bad route choice.

Note
(rest day)

Thursday Apr 28

running (track) 25:53 [2]4.8 km (5:24 / km)
slept:8.5

Wednesday Apr 27

running (track) 30:51 [2]3.5 mi (8:49 / mi)
slept:8.5 shoes: asics GT-2090
Definitely felt like I was going slower than on the treadmill yesterday. Legs feel pretty good.

Tuesday Apr 26

treadmill 26:34 [3]3.0 mi (8:51 / mi)
slept:6.0 shoes: asics GT-2090
Both tracks were occupied by various varsity teams, so I went with a treadmill. My sorenesses feel a lot better after the run. Oddly I felt like I was running harder/faster on the treadmill than I did on the track last week, even though the pace is supposedly the same.

Monday Apr 25

Note
slept:6.0 (rest day)
Pretty sore from soccer yesterday. Also picked up a couple of nasty bruises on my feet.

Sunday Apr 24

soccer (soccer) 45:00 [4]
slept:8.0 shoes: diadora tornates
MIT women's varsity soccer 7v7 coed tournament. Played 4 games, 2 goals, 2 assists. Lost in the championship match. Games were ~20 min each, separated by ~40 min. Legs were too tired to go all out.
