UNO meet at Fox Forest. The woods there are really nice - very open, conifer forest, not much green, a lot of rock features, not too steep. Weather was great, too - cool and damp. Unfortunately my orienteering was pretty bad and I made several large mistakes. Mostly I couldn't get myself to hold a bearing and I kept drifting off. Finally started to orienteer well after #16. I'm going to call it training because it was too long for me to be "racing" the whole way.

Tuesday Jun 14

running (road) 36:49 [3] 7 km (5:16 / km)
slept:8.0 (sick) shoes: asics GT-2090
Ran to beacon hill via longfellow, then around boston common and back along commonwealth to mass ave then back across the river, with Bosworth. Kinda fast, but felt pretty good. Weather was nice - overcast, cool, periodic mist.
soccer (grass) 1:15:00 [4]
shoes: diadora tornates
Shouldn't have, but a group of Bexley people went to play and I hadn't played with them in a long time so I felt obliged. Fortunately I'm mostly not sick at this point, so I don't think I made it any worse.

Monday Jun 13

Note
slept:8.0 (sick) (rest day)
I think I got a bit dehydrated on the run yesterday and I also seem to have picked up some sort of bug. Hopefully it won't last long.

Sunday Jun 12

running long (road) 1:08:18 [2] 7.73 mi (8:49 / mi)
slept:8.5 weight:160lbs shoes: asics GT-2090
Ran downtown to NC State, then back and around the neighborhood for a bit. Guessing at the pace again, but it was definitely a bit slower than normal. Legs were tired from yesterday and quads were tight again. 87F after I got back at 4:30.
